Hello fellow members ...

I've enjoyed reading The forums the past few days but I think I've reached info overload and need a little help narrowing down my choices.

My purpose for headphones primarily is home entertainment ie movies and gaming and some music. With that said I also want to use perhaps the MIXAMP for psudeo surround sound unless there is a better option. Possibly also a amp if needed ? As for price I'm willing to spend for the headphones is $400.00

As for open or closed headphone choices I'm open to either I would assume even the open for late night would not disturb my family sleeping upstairs unless someone here can advise ..

I don't think you can go wrong with the Sennheiser HD 650. For another $70 over your budget you can get the wonderful Denon AH D 5000.

Thanks for the input I am seriously looking at the Sennhieser HD 650 ... Would I need still need a DAC AMP if I used the Astro Mixamp?
