Hello Head-fi!
I am currently using the audio technica ad700 plugged directly into my motherboard playing downloaded FLAC songs via foobar2000. i have been using this basic setup for about 6 months now and i have realized i have a passion for music so im ready to take a big step!
i have 2 main music preferences, heavy metal and softer music such as indie rock.
here are 2 albums that matches my basic taste.
1. Slipknot's self titled album
2. Arcade fire-the suburbs
i know i would have to get 2 different headphones because these are very different types of music.
browsing trough head-fi's forums for a couple of days, i am thinking of:
Headphones: Grado RS1i+Audeze lcd-2
Amp: Audio-GD C-2
DAC: Audio-GD NFB-3
i hear RCA connections are terrible and ACSS on Audio-GD's products are amazing.
what do you guys think?
