What about Nodachi? What is it even like? Comparison with Viking Ragnar and Ronin? There's absolutely nothing you can find about it.

The Nodachi was built for Korea maybe 2 years ago. We made an agreement that they would be limited in quantity and region, but those limitations would be lifted over a set period of time.

That time has passed, and there are no longer any limitations on the Nodachi. That being said, we have never made an effort to offer a worldwide launch of the Nodachi. Our product menu is full, and offering conflicting price points is a delicate endeavor.

Regardless of the above, we have built some Nodachi for customers that follow Noble closely & wanted to own a rare flagship, built for a limited market.

I was in the same boat for quite a while and I was very happy using RU6. But with the move to a DAP not only a screen that I didn't need was added, but also a better D/A converter, better overall quality electronics, cables, materials, isolation, and, most important, a much better amping section with way more headroom. You don't need louder with Ronin, but faster and more at ease create better micro dynamics, details, imaging, et cetera.

drftr
Spent a few weeks testing a bunch of amps including the Gryphon, Q7, and Mojo 2. Fairly shocked where I ended up.

Mobile - apple dac (plus ddHiFi DJ44)
Home - Mojo 2

For mobile, my noisy environments don’t warrant the extra bulk of even a dongle. The RU6/BTR7 are both nice piece ls but not worth it. Plus the audio via Bluetooth just isn’t acceptable to me.

For home, there was blind testing and more than a few long blind album sessions (aided by my saint of a wife). I initially disliked everything about the Mojo 2 including the design and weird interface, but I somehow enjoyed its sound the most. Plenty of reviews describe Mojo 2 as “musical” or “pleasing” which I found laughable at the time. However I ended up feeling the same way about the Mojo 2 after a week, especially when compared to some more expensive options. The bubble light interface has somehow grown on me as well.

tl:dr - Ronin doesn’t need a mobile amp but I like the Mojo 2 for home / office. Will post my next hot take in another 18 years.

Oh and I should reiterate - I am incredibly impressed by Ronin. Amazing sound and a signature that I find super enjoyable. Consistently my favorites among a pile of sampled elite IEMs.
Couldn't agree more. I keep throwing competition at it and it keeps winning. Especially with the new Liquid Links Evua II cable, played through my RS8, I have found the sound that is as close to my ideal as I've ever heard - immersive soundstage, truly holographic, but not lacking any coherence or stability of image, a revelatory level of detail but bathed in the right amount of midrange atmosphere, good dynamic incision/attack but not etched, wonderful decay into 3D space, all set atop a perfect mix of sub and mid-bass that punches and reaches but not to distracting levels, along with a kind of euphony that I cannot describe, only enjoy - I marvel quite often at the beauty of what I am hearing, especially in the mids. It just puts a smile on my face - whether a trumpet or a synth bass note or a piano or drums...

Currently enjoying the heck out of Spartacus. Here's a post I made about it in the Watercooler thread if you're wondering about the ostentatious cable pairing(trying to tease out more mids). This is an awesome IEM! An energetic signature, executed with absolute finesse...you love to see it. Or rather, hear it.

Just upgraded from Mystique to Prestige... WOW!!! I thought it would be difficult to improve up the Mystiques. Even my immersive and expansive sound. Super!

But, dumb question... What is the USB cord type and given I am likely to lose the one provided within the next few weeks, where I can I get replacements? The manual says it is a USB-C, but they don't seem to fit and look different comparitively.

Anyway, homerun!

Thanks!

Just got my Prestige today as well. I am blown away. I didn't imagine them being dramatically better than my Mystique, but they are. Prestige sound absolutely stellar.
