Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I recall them saying that the Spartacus used dual bone conduction driver architecture. Did not have too much time to listen to them, but the bass was somewhat reminiscent to the EE Ravens (tuning may be different on retail model though)

They are in production at the moment, no plans on changing the sound / shape face plate may vary in color according to the distributor / region of the world.

It's very simple:

1. PWA Orpheus
2. PWA First Times
3. PWA 1950s
Thanks for the advice.
I would like something between the standard cable and PWA First Times.

PWA 1960s maybe? However, the technicalities are not at the same level.

But why not First Times? Everyone would agree that FT is the #1 choice for Viking Ragnar after Orphy. I also had FT with VK and I actually found the pairing perfect, it could have been even warmer if I wanted. Magnus was way too bright and analytical for me.

Yes, I have to absolutely agree with you. The FS is a perfect pairing with Viking Ragnar, making out of it a little more organic sounding competitor to my STORM.
I listen to them for about the same amount of time throughout the week. Whereas before finding the matching cable for Viking Ragnar STORM was the untouched star of the (my) show. Now there are also very good reasons to listen to Ragnar !

Oh that's really exciting now!

Could you maybe explain how Storm and Viking Ragnar + First Times differ and which you like more?

I have Orphy shielding, FT Shielding and Meet Agains, among the 3, I love the pairing of Ragnar with FT shielding the most, toned down the brightness of Magnus a bit but still keep the energetic presentation.

I agree, First Times is great.
But I like FT better with Xenon 6.
With Ragnar I want more stage and less body.

yea that the copper from Orphy and FT works well with Ragnar. I tried it with Chiron as well, it adds more stage onto a beautiful flavour pairing with Ragnar, pretty outstanding. However not as warm as Orphy and FT.

If one ever wonders how we proof a tool path before we cut a block.

Not all blocks are the same, some cost over 100$. If there is a CNC failure, time and money is lost & the block is forever gone.

So we do a trial run on foam.

20230920_155231_1.gif

Each trial run = 8 to 10 hrs of CNC work.

This particular block, the first CNC run we did had some technical issues,

So we had to make some adjustments and then ran
Two foam cnc test runs.

In total, around 40 hrs of CNC work.

The good news is, we can run the CNC machines all night long.

I cannot speak for everyone, since there is probably a percentage around here that like your products aesthetics and how they’re made more than how they sound.
I for myself like both but the latter is more important.
And there are a few posts back where you show the CNC process again and again. It is interesting but it’s just a machine working. I’d be more interested in how a human does his work tbh.
Also this thread unfortunately got dead silent.

Anyways, I can say with certainty that there’s a higher percentage of people around here that don’t care about how the wood is being cut but rather how your products sound and what new technology is being used in your two new IEMS (I know you can’t go really into any sound impressions). Maybe they would love an explanation to what has changed with the batteries on the Fokus Prestige?
I remember a few pages back, there was a talk about batteries deteriorating too fast.
What different tuning did you use compared to the original Fokus Mystique?

Now in terms of Spartacus, another very unique approach in this IEM market to how it’s driver configuration is being utilized. Well, I hope I’m right here since I had to rely on different sites to get some information. Japanese/Korean translated sites. Hopefully it’s not wrong information. Iirc some of these sites state that the two Sonion BCDs in Spartacus are being used for the high and ultra high frequencies and that the Sonion BAs are for the Low to Mid frequencies. Is this correct? If yes, does anyone know if there has ever been a BCD implementation for the high frequencies in other IEMs or is this a Noble first?

P.S.:
I think your products are very much among the best in this world. Maybe I’m just too curious and can’t stand it being so quiet around here. I’m just trying to spark some conversation and get some information for all of us here who love and support Noble Audio.
