Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Hi all, rather generic question.
I am new to these multi driver IEM's and thinking about buying some Sultans.
Is there a lifespan that these multi driver IEM's have since they have very so much going on inside including complex crossovers?

Many thanks
The original k10 can still be found in Japan

Those would be around 8+ years old

Definitely, U12T is more resolving, more holographic, and has a better texture than K10U. Nowadays tuning technology is far better than it was several years ago. But I don't find U12T interesting enough in terms of sound. And its build isn't even on par with K10U.

U12t = boring
K10u = musical

😉
So you guys will choose K10u over U12t ?

They said u12t is one of the best in the market ?

It's all about personal preference here!

I think that's incorrect. It's rather one of the most commonly liked and owned. The clue in that sentence is that something that has a very high ownership most often is something that doesn't offend anyone - a friend for all. This means there's no other stand out features than being good at everything you throw at it, while you may prefer an IEM that is not just good in everything but excellent in some things while still okay in other things. So the wow factor is not high, but if you're okay with that, why not? It is THE reason though that I have changed from U12t to U18t as I wanted more out of it than "just an IEM that does everything well".

It seems to me that the reviewers who listen to 100’s tend to look at the pure quality (like does something have it all, in all categories). I test and review security products and probably have had more articles and readership than most in this forum. I could look at a firewall and it’s centralized management and say: dam this is cool and sexy and want it. But when I am recommending product A over B - I have to look at things like: does it have all the features, does it do things well and with ease, does it follow industry norms or are you looking at something different (more time and money to implement). And I suspect that the more “professional” the reviewer is the more safe he/she is.

I one day I’ll review some products here too and give it a cost/value/performance/warranty/longevity(fatigue factor) analysis as I find most reviews a joke. If an IEM cost $3000 I’d expect certain quality/cable. Performance I am thinking does it get warm after 10 hours, does it work with most gear or do I need adapters (comes with or not), AMP etc., warranty is it 1,2 or 3 as that matters for tco. I’ll spend a lot more for a product that has the backing of 3 years…

And finally - can I wear it for long? If not then much of the above is just a joke.

Then you add the sound analysis. As while something can be fun for 3000-4000 it’s not something 100,000 will buy. They’ll go for a much safer option.

I am typing on my phone after a 14 hour work day so take the grammar and leave it lol.

At least K10U's lids won't come off. I don't know. I don't own K10U or U12T, my friends have them, I only get the chance to test them out and I find K10U more interesting.

I really want to know your

I have k10 and love it but don't know if ugrade to u12t worth it
The 12t is still one of the top IEM’s made. It is not the best in my opinion ( I feel that is still Traillii to give you a view of what I like ). While there is nothing better than listening to it for yourself, I did find the Monarch Mk2 similar. I might even give the edge to the Monarch, but my point is that if you have access to the Monarch and like it, you will like the 12. If you are not thrilled with the Monarch, you will not be thrilled with the 12 either. And if you are going to make a purchase in this class, as we are on the Noble thread, try to listen to the Ragnar as well.

I'm using the Viking Ragnar with the Kann Max and streaming from Tidal/Roon.
I've not owned super high-end headphones or iems before, however I've always had a fairly decent setup. Headphones are typically on my head for 5hrs a day as I work from home and share the space with my partner.

I listen to a lot of metal, jazz, classical, hip hop, country. As you'd expect these iem's reveal everything, placing instruments in your head as they were intended when mixed down in the studio. I'm hearing albums I've listened to many times over in a new way which for the most part is fantastic - it's nice to become reacquainted with some of my personal favs. Of course this clarity cuts both ways and I'm finding myself disappointed with great older music that was probably hobbled together over many sessions in less than ideal conditions.

I guess the best review I can offer is that I'm happily sitting away and listening to music without fatigue, finding a new level of engagement and comfort. Low frequencies are presented in a new way for me with a different type of presence - clean and concise. It's a very intellectual sound communicating the intention of the engineers. There is seperation between all the elements in the compositions.
I don't want to sound all esoteric so I'll leave it there. We all hear things differently and my opinion should be taken with a pinch of salt.

With this kind of music, ..................... how are you?

I try to write my doubt:
Reading about Ragnar-Viking, I have seen that many agree on some points which I summarize:
1) Voices on the verge of perfection
2) Techniques and details on the verge of perfection
3) Low range to be evaluated after more than 150 hours of listening, and in any case very satisfactory (only for a very few slightly lacking, but it could depend on short listening and without the right running-in)

Then I arrive at the only point where I find conflicting or otherwise ambiguous opinions:

4) The high range. Okay clear, okay clear BUT, and I stress BUT, I would like to understand IF in the long run it becomes tiring ... IF instead it depends on the DAP and the cables .... or IF I have not understood anything :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Thank you.

I’m way late to the party on the Viking Ragnar, but it looks like this is my next set. Is anyone using theirs with a Lotoo PGT? Are you happy with that combination?
