Had some new equipment arrive this morning.
Will post some thoughts after I've spent some time with everything. Off the bat however, these iems would have to be one of the nicest objects I've ever owned.

I'm using the Viking Ragnar with the Kann Max and streaming from Tidal/Roon.
I've not owned super high-end headphones or iems before, however I've always had a fairly decent setup. Headphones are typically on my head for 5hrs a day as I work from home and share the space with my partner.

I listen to a lot of metal, jazz, classical, hip hop, country. As you'd expect these iem's reveal everything, placing instruments in your head as they were intended when mixed down in the studio. I'm hearing albums I've listened to many times over in a new way which for the most part is fantastic - it's nice to become reacquainted with some of my personal favs. Of course this clarity cuts both ways and I'm finding myself disappointed with great older music that was probably hobbled together over many sessions in less than ideal conditions.

I guess the best review I can offer is that I'm happily sitting away and listening to music without fatigue, finding a new level of engagement and comfort. Low frequencies are presented in a new way for me with a different type of presence - clean and concise. It's a very intellectual sound communicating the intention of the engineers. There is seperation between all the elements in the compositions.
I don't want to sound all esoteric so I'll leave it there. We all hear things differently and my opinion should be taken with a pinch of salt.

So glad to read this.

Because this the final goal of this hobby, sorry this passion : musical connections and musical pleasure.

Other things are irrelevant.

Have fun, and music is the best. 🎶😎👍

Personally, I don't care much about the origin of an audio company, whether it's from China or USA or a European country, the product quality is the thing I pay attention to. As long as their products are excellent and my wallet won't be hurt, I'll buy them.
As a true Viking living in Texas I approve of this message.

Substantial differences between RAGNAR and TRAILLII ??? (Besides the voice that I seem to have understood that Ragnar has it much better .......) for the rest?
Sound Quality

I couldn't say, but physically, one is made out of resin, the other is made out of fully cnc aircraft billet aluminum, adorned with a handcrafted stainless steel damascus plate.

I meant to know in terms of sound, the gross differences between the two ..

Head fi rules forbid me commenting on subjective topics when it comes to competitors etc

That said, objective statements are legit
So commenting on housing materials etc is all within the confines of head fi rules

just got a Heir 5.0 for 110usd, quite an old one, first 5 BA in an IEM I hear, it has the classic problem of Multi BAs in which its so sensitive to output impedance that it changes sound with each sources (fourth in my collection that does this, 2 Audio Technica's IM series, Andromeda, now this) just curious, does it have relation to any of Noble's early offering by any chance? Heir Audio after the separation got drowned out so fast barely anyone had reviewed them.

Hi all, rather generic question.
I am new to these multi driver IEM's and thinking about buying some Sultans.
Is there a lifespan that these multi driver IEM's have since they have very so much going on inside including complex crossovers?

Many thanks

Guys, how would the k10u compare to u12t?
Definitely, U12T is more resolving, more holographic, and has a better texture than K10U. Nowadays tuning technology is far better than it was several years ago. But I don't find U12T interesting enough in terms of sound. And its build isn't even on par with K10U.

Major problem about the u12T (imao) = not very engaging... :slight_frown:

For me = deal breaker. :sleepy:
