That is the nice thing about cnc billet aluminum encore or Katana universals, they can take a beating, and that won't happen. But you can't get fancy woods, glitters, watch parts and such on them.

Really like this colour.  Intoxicating to view. And alluring in its own way. Kinda like the night blue sky, but with green. I admire the respect of craftsman for their tools. Not to waste any, if they can still serve a purpose. This is the colour of justice, for leftover paint

im using ares 2+, but you can try forza audioworks maybe? or maybe plussound

Thanks John - if they'd "taken a beating" I'd think fair enough, but like I said, these are effectively new & have been treated with kid gloves. This seems more like a manufacturing issue.

On receipt, I noticed that by unfortunate chance there's an awkward point where the cut end of one of the silver threads was trapped between the junction of the faceplate & the shell, so it hadn't been properly covered by acrylic leaving the tiniest of pinprick holes - you can see it in the pic. It also happens to be at precisely the point at which I lift the earpiece to get it out of my ear, & I think it's that combination that's causing the materials to separate.

I've contacted Brannan as you suggested.

My point is beating or not, our universal flagship won't have any unexpected issues.... Due to the fact they are built like a tank

But the flip side is, no frills can be added

I bought a set of the Bax and the 3.5mm connector broke away after 2-3 weeks.
 
Took it back to the retailer who said they have had so many back and there is a design issue with them.
 
Supposedly the Super Bax corrects all of the issues with the Bax...
