Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

These days, this is what you get from China. Stupendously great sound from bleeding edge American made components that have been masterfully crafted into works of art by Chinese specialists. The cable is Danish, by the way. And made in Malaysia. It connects my Chinese-American (One could arguably call them ABC) ciems to my British DAC/Amp made from Chinese, Japanese and Korean components and all in all it makes my German music (produced by a Swede) sound freakin' awesome.

Now you'll have to excuse me, I need to gulp down my Colombian coffee and help out one of our Danish clients in Bangladesh.

Haha, awesome rant post, bro! Brilliant!

Looking at my own gear, I could similarly fill a map with their countries of origin. It does make you wonder, how many nations, and how many people, were actually involved in crafting something like say, a Mojo. Many languages were spoken, no doubt.

Back to the challenge at hand, specifically when we all believe the Black Friday orders will start shipping!  Anyone on the thread that ordered as part of that batch been notified of ship dates?   The wait is killing me with all the positive reviews and enthusiasm

I ordered during black Friday, no updates on the shipping dates yet, but I think we should receive it sometime between end of January to beginning of February. Still haven't received the confirmation regarding whether the impressions were received by the lab in China, every time I check my mailbox I hope to see that mail :D

This wait is going to be painful! Haha

Funny enough, the crew at Chord told me before it's launch that they're very proud that the Mojo is made entirely in England with the components manufactured there as well. Not sure about the battery but they did have it made specifically for the Mojo.

Edit: Of course the Xilinx FPGA chip is manufactured in Silicone Valley, I believe, so not entirely accurate from me either, lol.

When my impressions reached China, the Noble lab sent me an email about receiving my impressions and were awaiting a confirmation from me. However, I did not get it. After two to three weeks of waiting for the confirmation email, I emailed Brannan to ask about whether or not my impressions were received in China.

Brannan was super helpful and got me into contact with Sunny & Ally (the pro's in China). The two said that they did get my impressions and they actually sent out a few confirmation emails to me. After that easy conversation, everything sailed smoothly. The build time did not get postponed, and was scheduled to be on time!

Actually, my K10's even arrived earlier than expected. Today UPS delivered my K10's, near the end of 6 weeks :) They fit snugly and are the best sounding portable monitor I have ever heard.

That's really great to hear! Maybe I'll wait for another week to receive an email from China before contacting the company again. I don't want to get my expectations too high about getting them earlier than expected :p But for the kaisers themselves I think my expectations are really high... I believe I've read up every impression I can find for them online.

I think Noble has a mountain of black friday orders...
I remember the build time for a CIEM is 6-8 weeks when I purchased mine. Now the estimated build time 8 weeks.

Noble gets a nice mention in an otherwise entirely predictable NYT story on choosing headphones.

i was the same way with reading the reviews! Cant find any i havnt read but i had to go with those as my source for what they would sound like because i couldnt test them anywhere due to where i live. They were my 1st custom and 1st flagship. Honestly when i 1st heard them i was a little underwhelmed. I think my expectations were through the roof. I dont really know if i beleive in burn in but i do beleive in brain burn in because after a couple of days with them its like a veil was removed and i was wowed! I listened to a couple of songs i listened to the 1st night and it sounded so much better. Now evertime they are in my ears its unbelievable. Especially songs with some impact to them. I have listened to music i didnt particularly enjoy before and now the sound just has more to it. My favorite thing about them is how the bass is always present but never to much . With rock music before the bass was drowned out by guitars and vocals but with the k10 its all there. Not to much or to little of anything. I have had mine for 10 days now and i thoroughly enjoy them everyday. Sometimes i kick back shut my eyes and get completely lost in the music.
