Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Headphones first, DAC second, this is of course assuming you have decent files, which is always first.

I say headphones, amp, them dac. But really depends on the headphones and if amp is really needed. Nobles are fairly easy to drive, so your suggestion may work better in this situation.

I wouldn't spend more on the dac than the headphones, unless I found my ideal headphones at a bargain. In most cases, headphones will have the most impact on your setup. I'd say significantly more impact than the dac. Personally, I've never found dacs to make anything more than a subtle change, whereas headphones almost always make a dramatic change.

well 3 years as an 846 man i ordered encore black friday deal. DHC type 4 cable as well. Looking forward to see whats what. Its been tough getting off the 846 rock, its nice and warm place with good sun exposure, but noble put some thought where it should be. Bass is important but mids man, thats where the magic happens.

Whazzzup, I came from SE425's to Encore universals and am enjoying the experience. I agree with your little comments about the mid's however when I listen to my EDM and other dance music, boy do those Encores sing :) Great bass, cracking mids and high's that just bring it on too. Brilliant. Now I want a dozen pairs of custom designs!

Where there's a Wata, there is a way.

So quick question.when I put my custom k10 in my right ear the seal is breaking slightly but when I hold it down im not really hearing a difference in the sound. I know its breaking the seal because I can feel that pop of the pressure.could it be so minor that it's not making a difference? I can always push the right side deeper but not the left side.I don't really feel that vacuum affect in my left side but it sits in tighter than the right and want push in any further. I feel like the left side is perfect.I feel the vacuum affect when I push the right side in but it comes out a little. Also sometimes it feels like it stays sealed better when I get it settled when the music is playing.I can move my jaw all around without affecting how they sit in my ear too.How long would it take noble if i did decide to get the right ear peice fixed? I might just be worrying over nothing but just unsure of a lot of things because this is my 1st ciem.

Looks like the problem occurs if u push on them?

Fixed?   I'm not sure if there is a problem, I'd expect a seal to break if u fiddle with them.   As for the left not being exactly like the right, there is no reason to believe that both ears anatomically will be exactly the same, and due to that, the experience will not necessarily be exactly the same.   If you get a seal, and the music sounds fine, I'd be content with what the situation is.

At this point in time, it is difficult to determine if there is anything to "fix."   That being said, if you stated that the right side was a tad loose, and you wanted that to be addressed, that could be done, as far as how long would it take, that would be a question of "que times."   Being Black Friday, toss in some holidays, the fact that the airport was closed for 2 days....  (not even sure if it is open today) it could be longer than expected.

No E in the serial numbers, so I think they are not.

Those are K10's some of the last of a dynasty
