Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

To be clear, was this 4 weeks to build or 4 weeks to receive

Shipping times and customs government assessment times are not included in our build time estimate

Regardless, I do think we need to review the build time as I do not want to promote expectations that can be too difficult to achieve on a regular basis.

I'd rather estimate a build time of 3 weeks and deliver in 2 weeks.

Build time. Impressions were 3D and the shipping was fast, no probs there.

4 weeks still is a short time to wait for any custom work, but expectations should be managed. :)

Thanks for the Katanas!

I had my impressions done the classic way and then scanned (same shop) into the STL file format. It's a local company here in Greece specialized for hearing aids. I had to talk them into it basically. In USA / mainland EU I think you have the option of a direct 3D scan, not sure how reliable.

I was told 3D goes for SLA and Prestige, not the standard Custom.

3D is for Prestige Products

Honestly, 3D isn't really better than the old way of doing things.   In each build method, there is still a task that is performed based on subjectivity & experience.  With 3D the trimming of the ear impression 3d file is done with a mouse, while if being built by hand, the trimming is done by a dremel.

The biggest difference in this step is....   if u trim too much off with a mouse, you can go back to the original file....  no harm done.   With a dremel......    no such luck

i see thx for clarifying. just a side question, do you keep impressions of past customers in archive or do i have to send new ones each time i order a noble ciem? with digital impressions of course it doesnt matter

Will there be a new model this weekend?

WCDchee, if someone says something long enough, it may eventually come true.

For example, I could repeatedly say, "It is going to rain....."       eventually it will rain, that is just nature at work

but that doesn't mean I know anything more about the weather than the next guy.
