Here are Noble, art and function are are inseparable. Everyone who has followed Wizard from the start of his journey knows that physical design and sound quality have always been treated as equals. One has never been placed above the other and that to this day remains true.

With the Kaiser 10 sitting atop the increasingly crowded world of in-ear sound, we are proud to offer design to match. These Prestige K10 are certainly no exception and represent a vision that is just now beginning to take form.

Enjoy these ladies and gentlemen for they are special. Also, don't forget to take it easy and enjoy the weekend!

We would also like to shout out our two newest team members, Rico Suave and D-MAX!

For sure - but I can also imagine the ongoing complaints if a big sale pushes production times back to 10 or 12 weeks. Which is not all that unrealistic considering how busy Noble already is even without a sale. From their perspective, what's the motivation for a sale anyway? Also, imagine if they play catch up and then drop a "March Madness" sale or something like that..... they would be the only game in town, rather than fighting a bunch of other brands/stores for the customer's dollar.

Just thinking out loud here.

Realistically, Black Friday for many retailers is a time to push through overstock inventory and, for more than a few, also to attempt to meet up to 80% of their annual sales forecasts during the Christmas holidays.  Somehow, I don't think Nobel suffers this need.  If they did, however, offer Black Friday sales, buyers should be more than happy to wait for much longer production times in exchange for the discounted prices they're paying.

True, but that would assume we Head-Fi'ers are logical and rationale beings, which I think is a hypothesis we disprove all the time on these forums!

How much better does the K10 perform in terms of imaging, sound staging, vocals and treble over the Shure SE846? Is the difference as big as the Shure SE846 vs Sennheiser HD800? Or is it just a minor improvement?

I haven't heard the HD800 in some time, so I can't use it as a reference point. I'll try to compare them against each other as best I can.

The soundstage on the K10s are wider with a bit more depth. Imaging on this stage is top notch; I could locate individual instruments with ease. In comparison, I feel that the W60 offers a marginal improvement (~10-15%) in imaging over the SE846, and the K10 tops Westone's in ear flagship by a little bit.

Vocals on the SE846 are excellent, in typical Shure house sound. However, I preferred the vocal presentation of the K10. Male voices sounded exceptionally powerful. This is the most subjective difference here, and you might certainly prefer the way the SE846 recreates vocals.

Treble on the other hand had more sparkle and was smoother overall. Extension was also more pronounced, but the K10s handled the high frequencies well - there was no hint of sibilance anywhere. The jump in quality is around 20% IMO.

BTW, the SE846 was tested with the blue filters on, so the treble presentation will be different if I had used the white filters instead. I'll be sure to audition them with the white filters when I visit my local headphone shop again.

Nevertheless, I love the SE846, and would certainly buy it if I had the chance (read: money). Still, after hearing the K10, I've come to appreciate and love the near perfect sound produced by these little gems. Is it worth the extra $600 over the SE846? For me, it definitely is.

Game over. Nobody is even close to Noble in terms of aesthetics. If they're lucky, they'll be downwind and perhaps get a whiff of their mojo.

Oh my, my eyes are saying: just what is this I am looking at? It's doing strange things to 'em, like I'm almost expecting them to disappear suddenly... or zoom away.... or relocate, though I'm not sure they would stay in my ears because of it, like they also hold existence in another dimension. Strange and beautiful.
