Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Nov 28, 2013 at 1:42 AM Post #332 of 36,065
Can someone please assist me and briefly describe Noble Audio's sound signature? I've only had experience with Sennheiser CX300, Shure SE215 and JH13s. I like the sound signature of the first two. The JH13s occasionally leave me wanting for slightly more bass in certain songs.

"Noble audio sound signature "

There is a 3/4/5/8/10 ciem format all are different in sq

There is a 3/4/5/6 IEM format

So if you would, be a bit more specific and maybe a more concise answer could be offered

Stay tuned and happy Holliday's

Those types of. Questions would be best to be posted with nancy@nobleaudio.com

We really can't openly discuss such matters on head fi, as this isn't the intent of head fi and it also may be against forum rules.

I would be very curious to hear about the difference between the Noble 4  (universal) and the Noble 4C (custom). I do completely understand the difference in design etc. and that they may use similar driver implementation?  On the other hand  I'm very keen on learning how similar, if any, they are  to each other regarding sound signature and their overall presentation.

If I presumable,experienced/managed to achieve a perfect fit with the 4C custom and if I encountered the same with the Noble 4 will they sound the same?

I believe that this is a very legitimate question. On the other hand if the N4 and the N4C uses different drivers and/or implementations. My questions are completely irrelevant but others may still have an interest to make their own opinion..

Internals are the same but there would be a slight difference in sound due to insertion depth difference etc.

It's a physics "thing" but I couldn't tell you which sounds better, as that is a subjective interpretation

Thanks, that was the answer I kind of  looking for... or so "-)  well and that the internals(drivers) are the same, impedance/crossover levels as well  and it all comes down to how we "subjectively"  interpret the difference and we will or not :)

But absolutely Kudos to Noble that you offer the universal version, driver design etc. similar to the custom version without claiming more or less and just let "us" the vague hearten consumers make the decision where to go  :)

Saw that ljoker just released his review on the 4C right after my questions or before..  so what else could I do than to experience this unit with my own ears and only and again thanks to the Noble kind of guys to reply quickly to my questions and to offer us a decent price.

The difference, I believe, will vary from listener to listener. I own the 4.A (CIEM) and had the occasion to listen to the 4.Ai (IEM): same drivers, same configuration, but to my ears not at all the same sound (with the 4.A a clear winner). A couple other people got to compare the two and also found differences, though not as much as I did. My ear canals, however, are 2.5 times larger than average, so I'm not a representative sample -- but are you? Another advantage of CIEMs, beside the perfect fit, is also, I surmise, a more consistent sound. However, you may note that the Wizard himself enjoys one of his universal IEMs (the Noble 6) best of all.
