Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

just saw this master Noble thread.

Saw the latest onyx and tried it out at local shop today and was it good. Really good mids, life like vocals rendition, minimal sibilance, impactful bass with good amount of it, and the vibration/sub bass feel was great. It was this perfect IEM for me especially at low levels where usually iem start to sound anemic but this has that impact and feels to them at lower volumes.

Was so impressed I got it in the spot. Will be doing a unboxing video soon and more impressions.

I have been searching around for information on the apollo, but it seems a bit sparse at the moment. A few posts in this thread, some impressions from canjam, a product page at bloom audio, but not much more. Is there something out there with more info that I have missed, or is it still a bit too early for that.

So far, seems like audio quality should be good. It will be able to use usb-c or 3.5mm for input. It has ANC and transparency mode, has anyone compared how well those work to bigger name brands like sony or bose? I assume it should also be able to be used for calls too since it has microphones for ANC. Latest bluetooth, good codec support and multipoint support.

How about controls on the headphone? Hard to tell from photos what kind of or if there are buttons hidden below the rim. Touch controls?

Any other software features available? I know some of the other wireless headphones can automatically switch between ANC and transparency mode based on if you or others are talking. Just in general trying to get an idea of what if any of those types of features might be there too.

And it seems like May/June is still the target date for these? The page on bloom still shows end of April as the expected date, but based on comments here, seems thats bit optimistic.

The drivers are essentially stacked, bass under the planar, planar is suspended above the bass driver.

For me, I place my glasses above the cushion to assure 0 leakage, but YMMV.

Good to know. The automatic stuff is really the least of my concern, but was just curious since I would be looking at these both for the sound and for the tech. Will be keeping an eye on the release!

did a unboxing and initial impression the of the Onyx. I find the biggest difference with other IEM is the bass and the general atmosphere of the songs being played. It has a in the music kind of feel and a sound stage that’s really wide and layered. Mids are also really naturally sounding to me. There’s also no sibilance once with some tip rolling and is currently one of the most enjoyable IEM I heard in recent times.

does it mean it can operate in passive mode with external amp, meaning with the headphone switched off? will ne great in situation when the battery is flat.
