It took a bit of fiddling and a lot of reading on the internet. I finally got away from using Foobar2000 as the library and got JRiver Media Center to work with VB-Cable as the virtual audio cable, basically if you don't know it's the background virtual connection that you can use to hijack WASAPI and redirect it to some other application like HQPlayer. I've been doing it with hijacking IP addresses using Foobar2000 and a UPnP media server connection with an IP configuration file. Foobar2000 has not upgraded their UPnP component in a very long time so everything is limited to WAV 24bit-96Khz. Plus I think Foobar2000 no matter what sounds bad.

I finally got JRiver Media Center 31 to work with VB-Audio Virtual Cable Pack 43, which although internally is also limited to 24-192Khz, it just sounds so much better feeding HQPlayer which I am upscaling to 5.6Mhz then goes to HugoTT2/M-scalar. I've got this working on my Surface Pro so now off to configure my MSI Vector and Leopard. All of this is taking up so much processing moving the mouse causing the music to stop playing until I stop moving the mouse.

The Viking Ragnar now has something really great to just kill off the Sony 1ZM2, which isn't bad sounding at all with the Viking. I really like that combination too.
Much better sounding than anything I have previously had connected to the Sony. Timbre on the HugoTT2 is much more reference which is my preference. A little more accurate impact of each note. You can really hear the difference with the Ragnar. Well Done!

I just want to say what a pleasure it was engaging with and speaking to the guys and gals heading up the noble audio booth yesterday at Canjam London. They couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and one of the only real exchanges I had on the day was with the team. A real asset to the brand! Just wanted to show my appreciation and to also say that Kublai Khan and the new Spartacus were mighty impressive! Right up my street. Ragner was also good but not to my tastes and I think Ronin was the most complete warm/neutral set I’ve heard.

Thank you for your listening impressions of different Noble in-ear.
Could you please elaborate a little more on the sound characteristics of Spartacus.
Is Spartacus more of a specialist?

No problem, it sounded like a planar to me but I was told that it has a more exotic combination… not sure if it’s been announced yet so can’t say too much but it had a more v shaped tuning to my ears but the sub bass extended very deep and it had an extended linear treble to my ears (others have said that they have heard a few spikes however so take with a grain of salt)

Whilst there appears no official announcement; I didn’t get the impression that it was a secret. There’s confirmation of driver type online if you search in any case.

My sound impressions were that they are quite balanced and in an exciting musical way. Probably a ‘W’ with a slight emphasis in upper mids/lower treble (no doubt due to the driver type taking care of business in these frequencies), but the bass is still clean, punchy with a slight mid-bass emphasis.

Met the team and they were very accommodating. Kai is the man! Thank you for everything.

Not dead yet but I somehow get automatically unsubscribed from (only) this thread every few months. Does anyone know a trick how to prevent this? I have reached out to the administrators a few times in the past but to no avail as the settings are exactly the same as for other threads.

Thanks for the tip. Any recommendations on interconnects? You have a favourite?
If you can find a Siltech cable to demo... It's just that I'm not responsibly for your future financial situation!

I would say after 200 hours of burn-in, my Stage 3 has been lifted up to another level of performance:

- Extremely good extension on the treble
- Excellent coherency, I feel like hearing a earphone built with 1 very high definition DD
- Micro-details are superb
- A more holographic sound stage forms
- Deep and punchy bass with good texture and control
- Wide soundstage, sweet and delicate sound signature
- a mixed feeling of monitoring & musical type of sound, not boring but fun!

This is the first time I purchase a Noble Audio IEM and I love it! I deeply experience the power of Noble's tuning technique that can apply on a 3-drivers earphone which produces such high quality of sound.
@lomenhk
Have you compared Stage3 to something I own (please see my signature)?

I would like to ask those of you guys, who have already ordered a Noble Prestige:
how long does it usually take from ordering a Noble Prestige universal iem to when it arrives at your place?

Thanks
Couple of months, but the craftsmanship and having a hand crafted 1:1 piece is well worth the wait. Mine probably took a little longer since it was the first Ronin Prestige +
