Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I just picked them up last night... and I gotta say I'm impressed. I've only had one other tws earphones and they were a disaster... albeit it was early on when they were first becoming a thing. These really sound fantastic. I tested them with 3 different devices... My daily phone a oneplus 7t, fiio m11pro dap and a dedicated galaxy s8 plus that I keep on hand as a dedicated music player/streamer. Unfortunately for me the the oneplus 7t doesn't have the quality of performance as the other 2 and the compatability of the controls of the phone with the earphones is suspect. I am still considering keeping them anyway because they will be around far longer than the phone that will probably be replaced beginning of the year. Like I said though I'm very impressed, they are just all around great sounding and I didn't think it possible with a product like this but I actually feel the music out around me... not sure how you guys describe it but it feels like it is around me not just blasted into my ears. I'm not really a bass head or anything but it feels really punchy and quality like not just a muddled booming. So far so good... I mean I commute 3 hours a day so I'll get a really good feel for them quickly.

Update... Sadly I returned them this morning. Although they sounded amazing the connectivity problems and problems once they were fully connected make it impossible to keep them. I went through countless hours and multiple devices to make sure it wasn't user error. I'm very tech oriented and concluded the problem wasn't on my end. For right now I'll stick with a Bluetooth DAC/AMP and maybe give the Fokus another try in the future.

So the fokus pro were released yesterday the 17th in japan. I tried them out loved them but wasn't sure if I was picking them up due to the price hike in japan being a lot higher than the Us side. Falcon pros were around 33,000yen when they first came out you can get them now for 26,000yen. The fokus pros run from 50,000yen to 55,000yen pending where you buy them so its kinda like almost double the price. But after playing around with them for a bit I decided to get a pair, but currently, ALL STOCK IN JAPAN is SOLD OUT when it comes to the major retail stores. One store said they sold out of their stock in 30 min. So I had to place a reservation for them since they're on back order hopefully ill get a pair before Christmas. The new app made for the fokus pros is a lot better than what we got for the falcon series. I found the my eq thing pretty interesting on how it tune the eq based on what fits you best after doing the test setup. The presets for the eq were also enjoyable. I think I enjoyed the setting of folk out of the all presets. Reviews have been getting posted left to right and all say the same thing this is a tws that's as good as a wired iem and is the best sounding tws in the market right now. even though this does not have anc, wireless charging, or an ipx rating I've gotta say this thing is heavenly when it comes to the sound.
Mr. Wizard thank you again for making such a great product. now I just gotta pick up a couple of falcon pros for spares should my current falcon pro go bad on me in the next couple of years and get a spare fokus pro later down the line. now im just wondering will there be an upgrade to the falcon series since it seems the fokus and falcon series are 2 different entities.

My Falcon Pros disappeared. in a house with 3 young kids, things like this happen. Hopefully they show up soon. After a few weeks without, I broke down to get the FoKus Pros. Looking forward to giving them a spin when the brown truck arrives today or Monday.

Thanks for your comments

As for your question, will there be different derivations of the FoKus?

The plan is:
FoKus will be a product line, and "Yes" we do plan on releasing different derivations within the FoKus Product line.

That said, they will be built around a theme such as, "sport" "tech" "lite" etc etc.

The FoKus Pro theme, was based on sound quality being the primary goal. (also improving some features over the Falcon Pro)

To be honest, even I was surprised by the FoKus Pro. Frankly speaking, the power of DSP is just starting to be understood when applied to TWS. We always thought, good sound could be achieved, if corners were not cut & we set out to prove it.

As for now, there is no FoKus product in the works to replace the FoKus Pro.

Dropped off this morning. Been tuning and playing off and on. Music, podcast, more music, movie, more music. Haven’t tried a phone call yet.

The FoKus Pro is more detailed than the Falcon Pro to my ears. Bass doesn’t hit as hard, but feels more refined. I’d be happy with either buds and even happier if my Falcons showed back up. No TWS buds match Noble. I have been through Sonys top end and still use Sennheiser’s. The Wizard makes the best noise!

Makes me wonder, if a "find" feature can be added to a TWS charging case. 🤔

I know JBL has a feature on their app to make an alert sound to try and find a missing earbud its actually pretty loud as ive tried it before.
Mr. Wizard so the fokus theme will be replacing the falcon series going forward is this understanding correct?
Cause I was hoping there would be an upgrade to the Falcon Pro but if not I'll just have to get a couple of spare falcons pro while I can still get in japan.

No the Falcon and the FoKus product line are going to run consecutively.

Much like General motors operates
Buick & Cadillac etc etc.

There are other Falcon models in the works, but nun thus far are designed to unseat the Falcon Pro position as being the top Falcon model in regards to sound quality.

Ahh ok thanks for clearing that up as people were kinda thinking the fokus series would take over the falcon series in regards to the noble tws series.
but good to know we''ll have both series continuing to progress
So other falcon models in the works ok looking forward to this

I posted this in the Vision Ears thread. Thought I would post it here also. I have the utmost respect for both Noble Audio and Vision Ears. True Craftsmen of their trade!

Vision Ears Extended versus Noble Audio Sultan: DD/DD/4 Estat versus DD/4 BA/2 Estat

The Extended and Sultan share a lot more than Extended and Odin. The Sultan is a warmer Odin, and the Sultan is a brighter Extended. From detailed to warm it goes Odin, Sultan, to EXT. The Extended and Sultan share a mid and sub bass focus. Both monitors have an “analogue” sounding thicker bass. Very classic thick DD bass.

The treble and upper mids are so much more present with the Sultan compared to the Extended. The Sultan could get taxing for some. This upper mids and treble bump of both the Odin and Sultan are what make them for me high on the fun scale. I would not want to be married to them but for a weekend getaway they are great.

Female vocals have a higher pitch with Sultan. The EXT even focus, or slight lower mid focus give female voices a richer tone and give male vocals a darker tone.

The Extended is more of a cuddle bug fun sound compared to the Sultan. The Sultan comes at you relentlessly. The Extended is there for you but not in a boring way. Longer sessions can be had with the Extended with toes tapping. Not foot banging party time like Sultan.

On a side note, the Sultan and Odin IMHO require a warm cable to really show their strengths. Brighter, clarity focused cables can create an overwhelming sound. EXT changes a ton with cables. All cables work for EXT. The warmer cables bring out the thickness and darkness of the IEM. The cables that focus on clarity tame it and reduce the darkness and increase the clarity. They all sound great with Extended. They just create a different sound.
