Would you take an extra fee to make it worthwhile this one time?

I would love nothing more than to have one of your designs on an encore.

Making concessions, especially in an open forum is bad business

I have denied such requests before, and then I make an allowance here.....

Bad look

Further more, I make a concession regarding this, why not other policies

Slippery slope

Understandable.

Although Katanas were a bit on the harsh side for me, the K10u is still among my favorite IEMs I’ve ever tried.
The mid-bass on it has such a nice tone and punch, and although it doesn’t have gigantic soundstage - instead it paints a nice cozy room with precise imaging around your head.

The K10 was one of the few IEMs that threw me head first into this expensive hobby.. but I can't say it hasn't been an altogether fascinating journey. The original Kaiser still ranks as one of my all-time favorite earphones.

It has its flaws, some which have been corrected in newer flagships. But for what its worth, the K10 still has a midrange that is one of the best around.

So ended up getting Fiio Q1 DAC/amp.

Pro: turns out it's the perfect fit for my IEM carry case.

Con: no micro-B to micro-B OTG cable was included so can't use it as a DAC with my smartphone, will have to wait for one to arrive.

Using it as an amp I feel that there's more seperation and detail in the lows. Loving the bass boost though. Doesn't seem very loud, I can turn the Q1 right up and almost max my phone before it's too loud. So far it's pairing well with the K10.

Still getting the noise floor hiss of the phone (its in amp mode not DAC so this was expected), can't wait to try it as DAC.

Pics of Q1 (and K10) in case:

That cable looks nice. Ted does good work.

When will the Khan with new 2 pin sockets be available on the market?

Good to hear about the new sockets in the Khan's now in circulation as I am saving the pennies for a new flagship to go along with my custom K10s. :L3000:
