Anyone has more picture of the Khan? I can’t really make anything out from John’s artist impression :) :)

5.5 hours till the Khan goes live right?

Question re: Katana for the Noble experts (or if John can comment): can the universal version be reshelled into a Wizard edition (still staying universal)? I love the sound of my Katanas, but it looks like the acrylic shell would be much more comfortable to me and it’s beautiful to look at as well. Is there such a thing?

Flagship level products would not have shipping fees, that being said, there may or may not be duties/customs/taxes accessed by the country that the product is being imported to.

Those types of fees, seem to be pretty random from country to country and or by tax collector accessing the product.

Cheers

Might get some angry replies to this, but I thought it would be helpful for people searching for similar experiences in the future.

I have a 3 year old Noble K10, which recently cracked open on the right side (left is still perfect, and I never even brought these out of the country for fear of temperature changes cracking the shell, they've always been in a 24 - 32 degree celsius environment), so I sent a message detailing what was up. I got quoted $300 - $500 for a reshell of one side, and $400 - $600 for both sides, which shocked me, since I wanted to do a Wizard Reprint this time, and it would push the total to $800 if so.

Using the OTS with the reprint option would be a total of $599, which would be a good $200 saved, so I asked if it would be possible to utilise the OTS for the reshelling (under the understanding that it wouldn't be available anymore after I use it, of course). I didn't see an issue with allowing me to use the OTS in this situation, since even if I sold them, the profit from the sale wouldn't be going to Noble, so it wouldn't be hurting them financially and the OTS service has been discontinued in any case, so I didn't see a downside for them allowing it.

I suppose there must be other considerations because I was informed that "ownership transfer service is only available for second owner who would pay for the second hand CIEMs to begin with". I'm pretty sure I paid for my K10s, that's how I've been using them. But I'll stop before it turns into a complaint post. Just wanted to post this so that if people were searching for repair prices in 2018, they'd have updated prices.

Yep, we have to explain this periodically every year, which is one of the reasons we stopped offering OTS.

OTS can be figured into the costs of a product, just as parts, labor etc. Predicting how many after warranty repairs are going to be required in the life of a product can not be.

Thus there is a price difference between essentially the same task.

Further more, the concept of OTS was to help keep resale values stable for the original owner, it was never intended to be used as a future repair option to be utilized by the original owner.
