Thanks krismusic. :) I have been writing about craft beer going on three years and writing as a hobby on electronic music for several years prior to that, and things are finally starting to take off.

Well I’ve gone and done it... A pair of K10s is in the post for delivery today!!
You will love them.. I have my k10s CIEM for 2 years now..

The package containing my K10s arrived today and I am as pleased as punch!

More impressions will follow once I find the right tips... I need assistance getting the silicones on so the foamies will do for now. When they do stick in place it’s a thing of beauty.

I found myself listening to more metal than anything on my (horrible) commute to my favourite craft beer bar. And with good reason! If there is a better headphone for metal... Hmmm... Maybe I don’t want to hear it! :D

I am glad I chose these above the CA Vegas which to my mind don’t have the right overall signature. Though perhaps I should have given the Encores a go first I regret nothing.

More to come...

Which one of nobles exotic woods for CIEM do you think looks the best? I am having trouble deciding :frowning2:

Also, I googled what rosewood looks like and apparently there's some lumber mafia thing going on lol

I have a different idea, get something different. Ask for pictures of something never seen before, set a trend with another kind of wood. Give Noble a challenge, let them step up, they can do it.

For those who have a Woo Audio WA8 amp/DAC and Katanas, I think the sound is similar to Encore with the WA8 in 2 tube mode and similar to K10 with the WA8 in 3 tube mode. It's like a free Encore and K10 with my WA8 LOL. I actually never auditioned Encore, but had a K10 and that's what immediately came to mind when listening to Katanas in 3 tube mode. For "pure" Katana, I still with solid state neutral amps.

Curious if others agree.

After braving the extreme heat yesterday... Actually, no, after braving Melbourne’s public transport system that cannot cope with extreme heat yesterday, I now have the tips I need. Totally worth the ordeal!

Strap your skates on Gordie you’re going in!

In between my Blasta Brewing copywriting I’ll be writing a full, constructed and considered review.

For now though Pink Floyd’s The Endless River is sounding sweeter than chocolate and peanut butter (porter). And Russian Circles’ Memorialis amazing also.

In terms of imaging I can’t quite tell if I’m sat on the drummer’s stool, standing in front of the kit or living vicariously in the sound itself.
