The Dulce has a distinct coloration that people will probably either love or hate. If you like bass and warmth, as demonstrated by your love of the TH900, then you'll probably be one of those who love the Dulce.

Dulce does sound like it would be right up my alley, too bad I don't have a chance to test them out anywhere. I am visiting London shortly at the end of August, maybe there's a place I could test out the universal models? If I do end up with Dulce, I'll probably also pick up K10 (or a successor if there's one coming) at a later date.

Does anyone use or have heard their k10's with tubes? What are your impressions? Is it a good pairing? I'm entertaining the idea of the alo continental mono portable tube amp.

If you're looking at the tube sound, why not wait a bit for the ALO Continental V5? Especially if you already have a decent DAP/DAC right now.

I second Wata's description of the Dulce's mids. if the mids were not as powerful as they are, the bass could easily overpower them. As I mentioned a a few pages ago, the Dulce works really well for vocal + bass tracks. If your musical tastes lean towards R&B, Rap, Pop, etc, you should definitely give the Dulce a test drive.
I find the K10 and the Dulce to be very good compliments for my tastes in music. The K10 gives me balance and refinement and the Dulce gives raw power. If, as Wata says, the Django is similar to the K10, then I can see the Django and Dulce complimenting each other quite well.

Test drive?? How can I do this? I'm in central Cali, Fresno

I'm thinking about saying screw ultraportable and just get something at least "transportable" like a MacBook + WA8 eclipse or alo cdm. Simple and effective

My ultraportable stack is just my Sony ZX2 and Noble K10. Usually what's with me when I'm onsite for short visits as well, if I actually have the time to listen to anything (rare).

But when I'm on assignment for a few weeks, it's the ZX2 -> Hugo -> LCD-X/TH-900 (depends on mood), what I listen to when I'm back in the hotel after work.
