The K10UA and weight:

CNet Says: http://www.cnet.com/news/deep-listening-with-the-ultimate-noble-audio-kaiser-10u-in-ear-headphones/

"The Kaiser 10U is lightweight..."

Keeping things in perspective, my wedding band weighs a massive 9 grams, while the K10 UA weighs in a svelte 7 grams

Despite the massive weight of my wedding band, I am still able to wear it every day, but admittedly, I am stronger than the average mortal

No good audio stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? That's pretty surprising to me, I'd have thought they have everything in Texas

As one guy said, audio stores are disappearing and quite hard to find. Especially in Texas. I have trust and go by reviews and what people describe about certain equipment and have to buy based on blind faith. I did that with both my Westone IEMs, UM Pro 50 and W60, and my DAP, Questyle QP1R. That's why I debate and ask questions so many times is because I hate wasting money and time on shipping and the problems on sending them back. Some companies allow you to return the product but impose a heavy fee for restocking. Other times, they won't take it and make it so you are stuck with it.
If I don't have to worry about selling my equips, I would do so. That's why I am so hectic about finding people who live close to my area to test and listen to test IEMs that I want. In the end, we need more high end audio stores overall. If I had the money and time, I would open up a business but I know that it would be extremely hard to maintain something like that.

My Dad lives in Tyler, and he has the first K10UA ever built, my brother commutes to Dallas a few times a week, if you want to meet with him in Dallas or visit them in Tyler, arrangements can be made.

PM me if you want to organize this

You are correct, the nose of the new K10U is 1 mm longer than the rest of the current universals, but perhaps more notable is that the nose of the new form factor is slimmer overall while maintaining the same geometry that worked well for so many people.

As for the new K10U being larger than the previous version, it did grow outwards just a touch, but less than 2 mm.

You're right, I don't think the New k10UA has an unreasonable size, especially not with those 10 Drivers and Two huge CI Drivers in there. But it's definitely bigger than many of the usual (albeit way smaller in driver count) universal IEMs. I think it's good to keep in mind that the reason I might feel that they're a tad on the larger side to me is because the previous version was so darn small. That said, the increased comfort, improved fitment and sound are definite improvements in my book :) and boy does that thing feel solid

So I'm learning. I'd always assumed the high-end audio market in the US was similar to Japan, where you have specialised stores in just about every major metropolitan city. Apparently that's not accurate >.< Domestically the market is small relative to other Asian countries (Japan, Korea, even Singapore), but I do travel regionally with work quite often, so I've spent lots of quality time in Akihabara, for instance. Wouldn't be able to try half the stuff I have otherwise (Canjam Singapore will also be the first in this region, but of course Japan has their own by e-earphone and others, Singapore too I believe).

I did buy the Savant blindly, due to early feedback and reviews, didn't regret it at all, and decided to graduate to the K10s.

I have been trying to avoid this thread, too late. Spent an hour skimming. Intrigued to say the least. K10u is on my radar.

I think alot of the issues I've been having may be related to an imbalance issue I have noticed today. The audio on my left channel cuts in and out, but mostly in the higher frequencies. The audio usually sounds muffled. Best way to explain it. I have just contacted Noble Audio support. I really HOPE someone can help me gets this squared up ASAP. I just received these two days ago, and it is a horrible feeling to have a lemon. This has been more than frustrating so far to say the least.

Sunday Night in the US of A right now, so there is not much that can be done at the moment.  I'm sure Brannan will be prompt when he can be.
