The update fixes it, you can choose to sort by loads of different ways. Also in the mean time if you see one of my previous posts to do a simple bulk retag and it will sort tracks into proper album order. The update was an OTA i was really surprised to see a couple of updates in quick succession as it was on 2.4 for ages before that.

My OTA says 2.4 is the latest. What was the one you linked before?

Yeah i turned it off after thinking it was cool for 5 mins and then blowing my ear off just picking it up  also still waiting for a firmware option to skip tracks with 1 press and not 2 presses i.e taking volume off the track skip buttons altogether (wierd implementation)

I might try contacting colorfly tomorrow and ask about firmwares 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7

How do you change volume then? I find the buttons to be cumbersome. Yes new firmware would be cool!

in the mean time to have album tracks played in the correct order:

Use MP3Tag
Number your tracks if not all ready "01 some song.flac" "02 another song.flac" etc then you are good to go. Try it out on a copy of an album folder

Use the convert option.
Chose File to Tag
remove all entries except %title%
click preview to double check first.

Album tracks are fine for me, it's artist that I want separated by albums and folder view to play in proper order not alphabetical

A search function or alphabet on the right side when you scroll would be cool too.

Also the gapless playback is crap, hopefully that's addressed in on of the new firmwares.

Great job, U8 plays music very well and has two great EQs.

I was messing around with the peq and peq pro and it's probably the best mobile eq I've ever used. Very precise and doesn't affect the tone or timbre in a negative way. Very transparent. So if you want a little boost or tuck here and there or to compensate with certain phone- it's amazing.

With some smoothing out this thing can be close to perfect. Get rid of the gaps and tiny pops between songs. And it would be cool to side load some stuff.

I will be selling my m11  my baby m6 is my main work horse. The U8 is for serious listening and oogling.

True that, I can put ot in ny shirt pocket, if my shirt had a pocket.

I buy t-shirts with pockets whenever I can. It's an old habit from when I used to smoke, but small daps are a perfect fit! You can even do the pencil holder/pocket protector if you want to nerd out.
