Should we all order utopia and use it with our sp1k then reach the Hi end ?

Hey, it depends on how you like your stuff, their synergies and etc. Utopia is great. Easy to drive by many things, but IMO, it is better paired with something has more bodies like WM1Z. I had it with Opus 2 and #3 and while it did sound great, it quickly became boring. The Z1R did better with the Opus, and I am not too sure of A&K SP1K

I've been eying that Dignis case in that exact same color since it was introduced. Nice!

A couple of questions, if I may? - How long did Dignis take to ship the case to you, and how does it feel in your hand? Does it attract oil and smudges easily?

I would advise you to do so. Honestly, the Utopia with the best portable sources IS high end.

I ordered the dignis case for Nomax, so I can answer your first question. It was sent with EMS, so it took only a few days to arrive.

NOMAX, I am curious how the ULTRASONE Jubilee 25 sound .

I used to have a Edition 5 Limited that I sold because it was very precises and detailed but... not very musical (to my ears).

I ordered the dignis case for Nomax, so I can answer your first question. It was sent with EMS, so it took only a few days to arrive.

i also confirm, the shipping (EMS) with Dignis is very fast. to reach France, it usually take about 4 days. I have ordered the new leather case for my SP1000SS, on 31th July and I will get it delivered tomorrow.

There are accessories being planned for the SP1000 and also a number of third-party manufacturers that have expressed interest in producing accessories for the SP1000 that we are working with. Nothing formal to announce at the moment, but keep an eye out on our website and social media for any announcements.

Jason, can you please confirm if the SP1000 still use Ribbon cables to connect between the main board and the headphones sockets ? Similar to 380 ? Thanks

I'm not sure if they are connected directly to the board or attached via ribbon cable.

Hi all,

regarding the CD ripper / USBC connection issues. I don't have a CD ripper or an SP1000, but I do have an apple MacBook Pro and been using USBc since November.

the short story is that USBc cables don't necessarily work the way you think they will. Just because the cable has the right connecter on both ends does not mean that it can transfer data or power. most of the usb c cables sold on amazon will claim they can transfer data and they probably do just fine with phones, but not so much with a PC to USB hub connection or any other kind of connection.

a great example is the following:

on one end is USB c the other is USB b. you would think that this would transmit audio or printer files the same way a USB A to USB B cable would work. Nope it doesn't!!! this cable only works with printers. Here are some reviews:

Couple of things I do know:

1. This guy basically turns a USB C connection into a USB A connection. its useful to have and critical if you have a USBc laptop

2. If AK is suppling specific cables or recommending specific cables use those cables!!! just because you found something that looks like the same thing does not mean it works the same way.

Frustrating I know but I spent a few weeks buying and retuning various cables before I found the right setup for my laptop. What I have read here over the prior pages is well classic USB C connection issues based on my experience
