999 silver wire from rio grande, 20awg. (I had a 24awg xlr that sounded thin, compared to a 18(?) awg xlr from mogami.)

Can't say exactly (because order # is sequential and not product specific) but it looks like they are somewhere around 200 Yggy orders +-whatever else was ordered in the past couple days.  First batch was supposed to be 250 so almost gone!  Congrats to the guys at Schiit; can't wait to get mine.

No insulation! They are just long enough that they hang in the air and not touch each other!
 
Highly recommend trying it, if you are looking for emotional sounds this is it. The wire cost me like $15 after shipping, it's the XLR plug that is a huge rip off...
