Definitely leaking ink here.
If I let them on a piece of paper just overnight then it's all blue on the paper.
Not sure what to do though, I might contact Philips about it (and also watch the X2 forum closely).

And not the best customer support regarding the issue (at least based on the below post). I'm sure the die isn't dangerous, but at the very least they should put out a statement indicating so to put people's minds at ease.

Phillips is not going to replace the pads. I contacted them (through their website- support)
They basically informed me- as far as they are concerned- this is not an issue they are aware of and there is no replacement program in place nor in the works.
Yeah they sound great for the $$$ but
I'm selling mine.
This gives me an excuse to upgrade the new Audeze EL8

Well, at least they are replaceable (which also X1 pads are imho). Though haven`t seen any place where to buy X1/X2 pads.

I personally don't mind the dye... it saves me from needing to use any grecian formula to combat the grey around the edges

I doubt the dye is dangerous either, it's more the staining of my (extremely handsome) face I'm worried about

I've been trying to soak out the dye from the skin contact area by clamping the X1 on an omega stand wrapped in inkjet paper. It seems to be working well so far, on the 3rd iteration and the amount coming out has decreased a lot. Time will tell if they start leaking more after I begin wearing them again (due to skin/hair oils etc) but I will keep doing the clamping thing every often to make sure when they stop leaking and I can forget about it.

The dye is a cancer causing agent that has been banned from use on products that come in contact with the skin. google it.

What should one google? Please provide a link that indicates what the dye is. Thanks.

As if we are not all exposed to what "they" tell us will kill us...eventually, every darn day ??
Drop out... go off the grid.. don't expose yourself to electronic fields of any kind... eat bright colored vegetables only..no animal protein!
It is proven, you live an extra ten months...

On a side note, I've not observed any leakage on mine.....

If you haven't left your X1's on a white piece of paper overnight, give it a shot. If there are no blotches in the morning, then yours are spared.
