I created a thread for those interested in signing up for the tour cables. Probably better to not clutter up this forum.

If you are interested in testing a copper and/or silver-plated copper cable with your X1, check out the thread above.

Already have an aftermarket cable? That's fine. If you want to see how these compare, sign up.

Has anyone here tried the X1 with the Vali?  Does it pair well, and does the Vali have noise floor with it?
It pairs well to me and I think the combo has good synergy. I ca'nt hear the noise floor with the X1s and Vali.

Mine arrived finally. I don't see the mids as recessed, except in the trivial sense in which they are more subdued than the bass. That said, the resolution is very good, and the detail is not missing. Sure they might not be as deep as the Senns 600/650s, but they are pretty excellent still. I dont hink these are very similar to the 650s to be honest: the basss is notoriously more punchy, less rolled off highs, and a wider, airier ss. The Senns are darker, more congested, and mid forward.

I am really curious though as to how these will stand to the new L2s. Considering how great the X1s are, and how eady they are to drive, Id be impressed and downright seduced by a version that compromises a bit of the bass punch to allow the mids to be more present. Particularly if they are even easier to drive, and more portable to top it off.

In any case, I like this quite a bit more than the he400 or dt880 600 ohm.

really enjoying X1 for a while but can't seem to get rid of the cable noise aka microphonics issue.

it's not like i'm moving around while listening but the cable still does rub off my clothes from time to time when i move my head and it causes the noise. i tested a couple non-stock cables and while it does reduce some noise but still make enough noise to annoy me. hmmm

Maybe if you have an extra wire clip from any iem purchase, you can use that and clip the wire to your shirt or something...

Hey guys,
I am looking for a case for the Fidelio X1, what do you suggest? This could be ok?

That Slappa is the one I use.  Like it a lot.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying their X1s. Unfortunately, mine have been putting a lot of pressure on my jaw bone area and I still feel the tightness and pain (there and in my cheeks) even after I've taken them off for a while. They sound absolutely great, and I haven't even used them all that much, but I might have to part with them. Can anyone here recommend a relatively safe fix?
