Hello everyone. Not my first post, but my account is brand new today.

I've been seeking new audiophile gear for about 5 years now. Signed up to comment and ask a question in the Grado Fan Club. I just recently started getting into vinyl records but have been into the headphone side of things for a while.

Since I can't edit parts of my profile yet, here's my current gear:
  • Headphones: Grado PS500e, Grado SR225e, Sennheiser HD 6XX, Hifiman HE500
  • Amp/DAC: Schiit Magni 2U/Modi 2U
  • IEMs/Buds: Samsung Galaxy Buds+, Blon BL-03, Tin T4, Tin T2, KZ Z10 Pro

Hi there!
I'm an Aussie who alternates between phases of climbing the head-fi ladder, and working on the stereo setup.
Previous headphones include: HD 600, Aeon Flow Open, HE-1000 v2, but currently Focal Clear Pro via Yggdrasil A2 and Violectric v281

Greetings everyone,

New user here,
I'm heading to college soon, and have a little bit of disposable income from random stuff (I don't have any bills to pay and I'm fortunate to have my parents support me). not sure why I'm including this

As of right now, I have some headphones from previous obsessions, mostly main stream gaming and commuter ANC stuff.

I'm looking to get a pair of Audioquest Nightowl carbon from a local store as I like the recessed bass profile so much that I will wear earbuds under my headphones. IEM's too, for commuting and outside usage.

Hopefully, I'll get my permissions soon and will be able to post random audio-related thoughts.

Hello everyone!

I'm an italian living in the Netherlands. I was a happy owner of Sennheiser IE80, and am a happy owner of Beyerdynamics DT 1770 PRO b stock.

I'm at the phase where I think I want to try planars with natural sound signature and I hope I'll be able to find good deals in the market #100%honesty.

I hope someday I'll be able to give back to the community!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Nick and I started my journey a decade ago exploring bang for the buck audio equipment but I've fell out of the hobby due to other responsibilities at the time.
Recently I came across a youtube video of Ana Vidovic's rendition of Asturias by Isaac Albeniz through my apple earbuds (Westone 3 to apple earbuds! imagine that :smile_phones:)
and the sheer emotions I've felt overwhelmed me.

In the light of recent events, I would like to revisit the hobby that gave me great joy.

I plan to buy a schiit stack with a hd800 because I prefer a large sound stage. Maybe try some planers. Might as well as fixing my old westone 3s.
Perhaps a proper speaker system while i'm at it. All in all, I'm very excited to revisit this hobby. Nice to meet you all!

Sincerely,
Nick

Hi all, have been a lurker here for a long long time but figured I'd drop in with my first post! Nice to virtually meet everyone and hope everyone has been staying safe.

I'm a composer/producer so my interest in headphones is centered more towards enhancing my ability to improve my mixes. To that end, I currently own Focal Clears, DT 880s, HD 600s, ATH M50x, Etymotic ER4XR for airplane use/travel, and very recently Slate VSX for travel as well (whenever I can travel again!). I probably have an unhealthy addiction to the pursuit of good sound and gear not just headphones :gs1000smile:.

Excited to join in on some of the discussions here!

Hi everyone, head-fi newbie happy for getting back to the world of high end after a rather long interval. Listening to metal, jazz and classical on newly bought HD 800S and FiiO M15.

Hey everyone! My coworker dragged me into the world of headphones over the past few years (he ended up with Focal Utopias as the pinnacle of his collection before downsizing everything this year), and I've been gradually expanding my own collection ever since. I have only Sennheisers now but am looking to expand out. Started with the HD 4-something series that is no longer made and I can't remember the model of, and have ended up with:
  • HD 515
  • HD 555 (held together mostly with electrical tape at this point)
  • HD 650
  • HD 700 (my favorites so far)

Hello all,

This is my first post to Head-Fi. I've been active on other forums like headphones.com and my other interests include watches, so I participate in some of those too. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from everyone here. I'm in the Seattle area and hopefully can meet some of you in person when we're able to have meetups in the future.

I've been a music nut for many years and in the last few months, been getting more into headphones and updating my equipment.

Right now I have a pair of Sennheiser HD600 as my primary cans (have had them for 10+ years), Focal Elex, Focal Elegia, and JHAudio JH11Pro custom IEMs.

For my daily use, I have a Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ that drives my Focal CMS 50 monitors with CMS Sub. My headphone listening has been mainly via an iFi Hip-Dac through an iPhone using Apple Lossless. I just purchased the Schiit Lyr 3 + Modius stack that should be arriving next week and that will become my headphone listening setup.

I'm on the hunt for a good pair of planar closed or semi-open cans too and I'll be asking for recommendations specifically around the Dan Clark Aeon 2 Closed and the ZMF Ori.

Cheers

Hello everyone,
My first post here and I'm so glad to finally be part of the head-fi community, which has been my daily go to resource for audio for years.

My search for bliss in the world of head-fi audio has taken me through a discovery of IEMs (Campfire Audio Atlas, Solaris), headphones that include Denon, B&O, Bowers & Wilkins and... for now at least, I think I've reached that final destination with the Focal Utopia and Clear, Audeze LCD2C and a recently added Burson C3XP Amp/DAC driving it all to perfection.

There's also the A&K Kann Cube, iFi xCAN, xDSD for portable out and about use. Streaming with Tidal completes the picture. Now its down to the joy of listening.

Cheers
