Hello. My name is Michael, and I am here to gain knowledge about tech purchases. I did personal scale audio production work as a teenager and in my early twenties, with my own mixing and recording gear. Later in life, I am now looking to be behind boards again, professionally this time. I have done a bunch of research recently, so I can come to the table with the correct tools, which has led me to this place several times. So now I am on a path to ask my own questions, rather than just searching for what others have asked. Thanks for having me.
Welcome, Michael!! Enjoy!!

Hello,

I'm an audioholic and finally got around to creating an account here. I started out many years ago in 2-channel audio, but as my kids grew I sold my setup and moved to headphones. I love music and have been greatly enjoying what this community has to offer (long-time lurker). I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their valuable contributions!

Hi All,

Although I enjoy listening music for many years, I recently got interested in the equipment making a nice listening experience possible. On my journey to find a new set of equipment I came across this forum, which helped me a lot to make a good, thoughtful choice (Schiit Modi 3 DAC, Arcam rHead amp and Sennheiser HD6XX headphones). Since I keep reading about headphones after my purchase, I thought it would be nice to actively participate in sharing thoughts. Hopefully I can gain more knowledge about head-fi, because I already experienced that entering the world of head-fi is a sliding slope. My current gear will definitely not be my end game!

Welcome hope you enjoy your stay here as well. On the sliding slope I’m way down the hole myself. You got a good start though solid gear and headphones.

Hey everyone,

I am new to the Audiophile world. Thought I would dip my toes in the water and ended up drowning. I am now obsessed with reading about different audio qualities or new systems, etc...
At the moment I have a pair of ATH-M40X and a Fiio Q1 MK ii DAC/AMP. The headphones are fun but I now know that others are capable of. My next step would possibly be the HE400i by Hifiman. Of course I am always accepting suggestions or offers and am fully aware of the inevitable dent to my wallet.

Cheers

Hi everyone,

back on duty after xy years on the road (I don't even remember my username from back then ...).
Anyways ... still addicted to AKG cans but switched from my ex-beloved Shure and Senn IEMs to cheaper chi-fi stuff without looking back.

Looking forward to a fruitful exchange and a serious waste of money.

Greetings from Gran Canaria
