Been lurking here for a couple years now and finally decided to join. Thanks for exposing me to so many great products and I hope to learn a lot more in the future.

Hi all.

Just joined Head-fi. I have my 1st big step up on the way based on some of the recommendations from Head-fi forums. I will be getting the Audio GD NFB 28.38 and I plan to pair with with HD650. I also have the HE4XX on the way in December. I think I would eventually like to get Ether Flows as my endgame but we will see.

Currently have the Fiio E17K w/ Oppo PM3s and Senn HD598.

Thanks,
Tyler

Hi everyone,

I'm James from Washington D.C. I finally decided to upgrade to better quality audio.

I have some Sennheiser HD600s for home and Shure SE215 IEMs for the office. I am a basshead but find that normal closed-back headphones do not work for me because i am too sweaty. Wearing them causes earaches. So for now, i'm greatly enjoying my new HD600s, although ultimately i think IEMs are probably where i'll end up spending more money over time.
You say that you're too sweaty- is that because the type of pads over heat your head, or it doesn't matter what type of pad it is?

Also the Focal Elear might be up your alley if you like good bass, and are a fan of the HD600s!

Hello everyone!

I've been checking threads in head-fi for more than a year, and I really enjoy the atmosphere here.

I'm an audiophile for years. Currently, my combo is Sony WM1Z with Andromeda CK(Snow White) for everyday music enjoyment.
Used to own a lot of Sony devices, just gave a shoot for the campfire audio stuff early this year, and now they are my favorite.

Sometimes I used my friend's Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic, they're all having great products.

Moreover, I also have the original Andromeda, would like to share my personal comparison between the White version and classic green.
Not sure I can just reply the Andromeda thread or not.

Cheers!

The amount of expertise on here is daunting. I'm looking forward to making the most of it! Hi!
Ha there is A LOT of information here... There are also a ton of helpful people here that love helping people find what they are looking for... Once you get your full privileges on here (not having a "post cap" and being able to Private Message people) you will be able to really dig deep!
Hey guys, new here. Just recently got into headphones, I suppose it was bound to happen as my father owns a rather expensive hi-fi system that I've seen around the house for ages.

Thats cool! I was not raised around great audio so I kind of uncovered it on my own. I wish I could have heard it growing up, but oh well...

I saw your profile pic and I was trying to think of what Ghost song my friend sent me. I liked it! This picture always makes me laugh, have you seen it before?

I was told by someone that Snoop is a big Ghost fan. Don't know the validity of that though...

anyways have fun here!

I've seen that picture before, but I'm not sure about the validity of it either, I don't know much about Snoop Dogg anyway. It's a great picture though, hilarious to imagine a collaboration between them. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Hi y'all!

I'm a Japanese audiophile based in Europe (Germany and the UK) as well as in Japan! I'm a big Sony fan, and currently I own the WM-NW1A, which I love and enjoy very much. By far, the best audioplayer I've owned! I seriously want to get the WM-NW1Z too, but I'm still trying to decide... and that's how I discovered this wonderful site and forum! :dt880smile:

Hi guys,

right now I'm listening The War On Drugs' new record and as I'm enjoyin' this great piece of music I've decided to be part of this forum. I'm based in the beautiful city of Prague in the heart of Europe and music is one of my obsessions...

In recent years I wrote about it in local newspapers, now I write - sadly :) - about politics. But classics like The Beatles, The Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys or David Bowie will be always in my heart. Guitars and synthesisers are equal loves for me... From mainstream names like Queen, INXS, The Cure, Depeche Mode, U2, OMD... through britpop heroes like Blur, Suede, Mansun or Pulp... till indie names like Tame Impala, Animal Collective, The New Pornographers, Glasvegas, M83, The Horrors, Cut Copy, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart... there's so many reasons to buy gear to listen.

Until now, I've used mainly in-ears - Jays q-Jays and Etymotic hf5. But since I bought Oppo HA-1 few weeks ago I'm also yearnin' for something bigger... Maybe I'll find it here :) Anyway I'm looking forward to be here!
