Welcome@Cannabat! We are very sorry about your wallet.  ---)

Indeed... In fact, I just had a Talk with Lady Cannabat just now. I had purchased the HD 600 and an O2 amp from my local audio shop the other week and had taken the amp home with me, but the phones were at a different location and being shipped to the local shop. I said I got somethings from the shop but might return them (really, I was considering it), so when I returned today to the audio shop to pick up the headphones, she thought I was returning the amp. I gingerly explained that no, I wasn't returning the amp, I was keeping it... additionally, I was going to pick up new headphones...

Got a bit of stink-eye and asked the classic "You have 2 earbuds and 1 headphone and now have 2 amps and 1 dac/amp combo... WHY DO YOU NEED MORE!?".

Of course, after I explainedhow the hyped bass, treble, and limited soundstage on the DT770s affects their usefulness in production and listening, and how one of my two IEMs is a bit lo-fi for me (MEE M6 Pro) and the other doesn't stick in my ears very well (Sennheiser CX 5.00), she totally understood and supported my purchases ;)

edit: I'm just glad she doesn't know that I have hundreds of dollars of audio stuff in storage on the other side of the planet... and that I am kinda rebuying everything over here O_O lol

Hello, i am HansPeter.

I am into Audiogear since approximately 2005, i startet with the first iPod Shuffle and some Sennheiser In-Ears. Since then i owened lots of not so High-End In-Ears (e.g. Shure SE215 or Sennheiser Momentum) until i got Into higher End Gear last year, I bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT1770 and an JDS Element and I am pretty happy with that combo but thanks to Head-Fi i know that the possibilities are endless and I am looking forward to discover new Products and maybe meet some of you in the Future.

My Personal Music taste is pretty diverse everything from Techno over Jazz to all Sorts of Rock lives inside my Archive.

Hello everyone, another member lurking for years, and finally posting for the 1st time!

I started reading all the basshead threads from hawaiibadboy and it's been real fun!

I mainly use my gear on the go. After trying quite a bit of gear, I learned that you don't need to compromise on clear mids and highs for strong bass and sub-bass.

I'm a runner and all the iems I've tried have been tested while running.

I currently own: ASG 2.5, Sony XB90, Sony MDR-Z5, Sony, MDR-7550 (tapped to increase sub-bass) and the JVC SZ-2000. As far as DAC/AMPS, I have the iFI iCAN Micro Special Edition and the Headstage Arrow 5TX with Enhanced Bass Boost.

My music preference is rock, pop, hiphop, r&b and latin.

Can't wait to keep trying more gear and enjoying this great and expensive hobby!

Thank you!

PS: Still figuring out how to setup my picture and profile =)

Welcome!  Is there a particular iem that you've had a good experience with for running or more physical activities?  Also, I joined a week or so ago, and once you post a bit (I think ~20 posts or so) you can access all the fancy profile stuff.  I just hit about that and *poof!* everything started working!

Hi,

I have recently caught on to the 'audiophile' craze about a year ago. But since I am still a student I am mostly looking for the "bang-for-your--buck" types and some entry/mid level gear. Have a pair of moderately cheap IEMs and On-ears, hopefully will continue this hobby :)

Hello!

Have also been lurking on this site for a while (even made this account a few months ago...), and finally decided I should chat with the community! I have experienced (not all owned) full sized headphones (HD 650, LCD 2, HE560, HE 400i, etc...), some IEMs (RE600S, GR10e, ER4XR, 1MORE, etc...), and now delving into earbuds (Q/CampFreds, Shozy BK, Mojito, etc...)! I use a Jotunheim and my DAC/AMP and Onkyo DP-X1 as my DAP (though currently eyeing the X5 III).

Hope to share lots of experiences with everyone here! (That sounded really cheesy)

Hello,
My name is Jeff.  I run a recording studio near Baltimore, MD USA.  I have been into audio since I was a kid.  My first rig was mission gear and that was 37 years ago
eek.gif
.  I enjoy all music.  I have recently been using my CIEM (64audio A12) along with my B&W 800D and Yamaha NS1000 to mix down and master songs and my clients all say my sound is better now.  Using ears seem to help get better sound staging.  Recently purchased the FIIO X7 and am enjoying listening to all my high resolution studio recordings through my plex DNLA server (streaming 96khz 24bit).  I have a large collection of other HDTracks and DSD files so I cannot fit them all on the local storage (over 2TB) so using DLNA is a must.  Anyway looking forward to share info on these forums.

Hi All, I am DenimCord, as the name suggests i am a denim jeans lover and I know how to play violin and guitar, so i think i basically always have some cords with me.

I start this music passion when i was in 10th grade, I was studying in Hong Kong and due to a lot of busses and trains, hi-fi stuffs are very popular in HK. So I start my journey with a Paris company called Atomh, I got a bookshelf speaker and pick up an amp and cd-player and off i go. At the same time, my family is moving to a new place, so I got their permission to give my house a huge hifi renovation --  to make a powerful theatre. I learnt a lot from it and big things are harder to upgrade as my parents don't really know what is the point of upgrading, they will think that system is sufficient and everything are still fine.

So it drives me into a new world, the in-ear monitor!! I know that it might seem weird that my journey is the other way around, i think most people will go into the in-ear first then the big speakers, but i was very young that time and i have a bigger dream later for my future home, so my home and bedroom hifi setup are basically still the same. I got my first Westone UM3X and iPod classic after I know they would not allow me to do any upgrade and i suddenly awake and think why i got ****ty music quality when I'm on the go. So the trusty Westone lasts me until last year, and i change my dap from ipod classic to fiio X5 and to the AK JR, and my in-ear is the Livezone R41 LZ2 universal fit. Currently ordering the custom art ei3 and i simply can't wait.

I was a long time member from the well-known forum in HK-- Post76 for a long while, and I'm studying in US for a couple years, so I'm kind of curious what will the new suggestions will i get. I can't wait to share more with you guys. And to whoever takes the time to read this long introduction thread, I hope down the road we will meet again in another threads. Thank you.
