Hello Everyone, After being a home theater addict for a no. of years I am now on the road to becoming a headphone addict. I have purchased 2 headphones over the course of the 2 days last week. Lurking the forums the last few weeks has thought me a lot about headphones, which for a while I dismissed as the glory of headphones never made sense to me. Now, after being temporarily relocated to a country where I am without my accumulated with love home theater components, I have come to appreciate what a headphone is able to provide. 
 
So, heres to start a new journey on another audio device addiction.

Hi guys! New guy here.

Been lurking around here quite often, just decided to finally make an account. 
Originally, I thought just having a earpiece with sound coming out of it will be enough. Then I got the Carbo Basso. Everything went uphill(or maybe downhill) from there.

Currently own the Havi B3 Pro 1, AD01, PMV A-01 Mk.2 and Sony MDR-1A. Source is from a DX80.
Main songs I listen to are J-pop and Rock.

I am just getting to the audiophile game as I just bought my first decent pair of headphones (Beyerdynamic DT 990 250 ohm headphones to be exact), and I'm trying to make myself more knowledgeable in audio. Hi everyone! Just a gal that got addicted to some good sounds. A dear acquaintance of mine gave me a pair of Sony MDR-VR6 with an amplifier and my life has changed since. 
 
I currently own Technics SL7 and a Technics 1200 turntables. The old home receiver I had broke. I would LOVE to get some references on how to set-up a home system and all that good stuff, because I know nothing.

Hello Everybody.
I'm very new to the world of audio although I obviously interact with it on a daily basis.
I love listening to quality-sounding music and love a good quality microphone.
on my pc, I have a standard realtech sound card, where I will be upgrading to a Creative sound blaster Audigy rx hopefully.
I hope to slowly learn what little I can here by reading and asking questions.

Hi new member here. 1st set of headphones were a pair of RadioShack closed over-ear in the late 70's. After that had a walkman with stock headphones. Then when i went the stereo route for the next couple of decades. Currently have sonos speakers or stereo / home theatre serups. Along the way picked up a pair of senneheiser over-ears and a pair of Bose on ear QC3s, using them mainly with smartphones, ipods and even a rio mp3 player.

Been lusting over Audeze for last several years. Finally picked up a refurb pair of el-8 open backs. Looking forward to trying out the cipher cable with my iphone, along with plugging into my old nad receiver and nak tape deck.

I'm especially psyched to checkout some tube amps w/ DACs. Been reading the Schiit story and that sounds very interesting.

I'm a deadhead with a vast collection of official vault releases as well as a significant soundboards and audience recordings. I do like classic rock, progressive rock, jam bands, fusion jazz, reggae.

Recently joined after lurking occasionally over the past couple years.  Learning a lot from perusing the various threads here!
 
While mostly a 2-channel vintage audio and speakers guy, I recently bought a new pair of ATH-M50x to supplant my 27-year-old pair of Sony MDR-V2 headphones.
 
I already have a Schiit Bifrost and Modi 2 Uber, so now I'm pondering acquiring one of the various Schiit headphone amps.

Hi, I just joined this site a few days ago because I'm looking for new headphones: IEMs, closed back full size headphones and maybe some open cans, and I have started the according threads. I also tried to helped a couple of guys with their problems in this "Introductions, Help and Recommendations" forum. One of them was going to build and Objective 2 Amp. While everybody seems to love, or at least like, the ODAC and O2, the admins seem to have a serious problem with the guy who gave us the O2. So serious in fact, that it's not even allowed to link to a website where this guy describes the O2 and how to assemble it. Now I don't know what happened on this forum and who he pissed off, but I guess he didn't post child pornography or advocate terrorism, and anything short of that should not be a reason to delete links to the website that describes a piece of hardware that everybody owns and loves.
 
I'm sorry, but due to this rather senseless censorship I'm not going to become a permanent member of this community and will retire this account, goodbye.
