Thanks - A burson soloist 3x with a Schitt Bifrost. I really dig it, but I am curious to try them out with a good tube amp. We don't really have any HiFi stores up here in Alaska so it is kinda tough to audition different equipment for synergy. That is why this site has been so helpful. I'm going to have to try and make it down for a can jam at some point.
Hello! Kinda new to headphones, old in the Hifi-game. Realized that after the kids came into my life, I played less & less music. Mostly because of the risk of waking them up. So now I'm trying to steer to this direction until their teenage years
I have Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro's & a heavily modified Hifiman 4XX. Listening via a Mobile Fidelity M1 Dac & the THX AAA 789. An Audeze LCD-2 CB & a Burson Soloist X3 Performance on the way
Greetings to all and thanks for being admitted to Headfi. I listen mainly from speakers but lately I am approaching the world of headphones and, after many many years, I am learning to use the in ear too. I have several headphones including an Audeze LCD-X very first series and a more recent Meze Empyrean, as well as an Avantone Planar (which I bought after reading the thread on Headfi). I recently bought a Fiio FA9 (delicious to my ears), Audeze Isine10 and Hifiman Re800 (these two must get to me). Have a good listening!
Hi there ,
I am jerome from France, a novice amateur in audio electronics and a lover of vintage sound (lamp).
I've just finished a small "Bruce Heran" http://diyaudioprojects.com/Solid/12AU7-IRF510-LM317-Headamp/
headphone amp and I'm starting a second one, in headphones I have a bayerdynamic DT 770 and 2 AKG 240, I think I'll take a GRADO soon...?
Thank you and good listening
Hi everyone my name is Street, Bamboo Street. I'm mostly active on reddit but you know, now the new generation only ask for bluetooth set, headphone or earbud, and im not a "believer" in bluetooth dongles, bluetooth earbuds or bluetooth headphones. So im here and the other forum, hifiguides, its more an hbb forums for fans and i see baskingshark is often here (more than headphonesty or audioreviews.org).
When you find a good reviewer, keep it!! And escape all the hype boy, hype monkey, over hype or ultrahyper of this world : when nothing is bad...
I'm here because I love music, recently I got carried away with portable devices and bought a Hiby RS2 player, I joined Head-Fi to discuss it, as well as the rest of the equipment, headphones and of course music.
I mostly like to read and maybe comment.
IT engineer here with 39 years of XP (32 counted from degree). Linux/unix, DevOps, scripting is my area.
Just started the hifi world about July 2022. Listened to music all my life; now I am switching from 320kbs MP3 to 44.1/48kHz 16 FLAC. Most probably I will not hear the difference between 192kbs and 48kbs as I am 54 years old (no detected hearing loss until now).
I own some DACs (hiby fc3, apple dongle) and DAC/bluetooth combo (whooshi from kickstarter; just ordered my Quedelix 5k).
I mainly use IEMs (KZ ZS10 pro, Truthear zero, CCA CRA). Yep, I am a basshead. Also just bouhgt Audio Technica ath-m50x .
Hi first post today joined for advice but unsure if it’s the best place.
I have a Fiio M5 and just recently it’s stopped working well the touch screen seems to not work at all. I think this all may have happened since putting a corrupt MicroSD card in but I can’t be sure if this is the reason. Obviously the player is now discontinued and hard to get but I would really like to try and fix it somehow.
Been lurking through the various audio forums for a few years now, finally deciding to get in on conversations, and hopefully save some $$ in the classifieds.
Hello headphone enthusiasts!
I'm hoping to find some local PNW people to meet up with. Maybe make a few friends in the hobby.
Things have ramped up pretty quickly in the hobby for me over the last 2 years.
Hi. I've only been in the hobby for about a year but want to step things up. My focus is on iems at the moment. Right now I'm looking for a TOTL unit that fits my tastes. Looking forward to talking to you all.
