Hello, I'm Dale

I'm new on this site, but I've been on C.A.M. ' uptildawn53 ' ( Canuck Audio Mart ) buying and selling headphone gear for about 6 mths now. I'm constantly in the Buy & Try and Sell mode, looking for that end game .. For now I'm settled on my recently acquired Cayin Tri-Stack ( iHA-6 Amp, Cayin iDAC-6 and Cayin iDAP Streamer ) supplemented by several top end headphones ( HD 800s, Dharma D1000, Audeze LCD-X, AKG K812, Hifiman Edition X v2, Focal Utopia, Z1R, Fostex TH900MK2 Emeralds, Oppo PM-1, Kennerton Vali, Sonorous VI ) and four portable DAC/Amps ( Chord Mojo, Teac HA-P5, Sony PHA-3 and Oppo HA-2 HE ).

Some of the Headphones and Portable DACS listed above are for sale and as soon as I figure out how to post an ad, I'll be doing just that. ( To that end, is there a thread to help the novice seller on site ? )

I enjoy reading and learning about audio equipment and implementation .. buy and selling of relative equipment.

Welcome aboard, Dale!! Just a heads-up on the classifieds posting thing. In order to do so, Head-fi requires that you have 30 days and 15 posts under your belt. It is not done to hassle you, but to try to mitigate the scammers and other no-gooders who occasionally try to infiltrate the site. Just wanted you to be aware so you can at least control what you can--your post count. The clock, of course, will take care of itself. Best of luck to you.

One other issue .. Having trouble creating / uploading a photo album .. I get the photos selected, label them during the upload creation and process .. then as soon as I click ' save ' I constantly get errors .. Tried 3 different browsers - uploaded the most recent java .. any suggestions - should this question be in another thread?

Hi all,

Long time reader. First time poster. Been into portable audio since minidiscs (Sony MZ-R55), portable CD players, and IEMs since the mid-2000s (Sony MDR-EX51s), and have gone through a number of IEMs and headphone since then.

Most recently listening to Campfire Andromedas, Etymotic ER4XRs, and Campfire Comets on a Fiio M6.

Currently looking for a pair of single DD IEMs.

Hi @uptildawn53, nice to meet you.

I think its sound is quite similar with HD800 but with more punchy bass, and with more narrow sound stage (not much, hardly noticeable). It suits my taste though.

@ Grooveriderz . .. Nice to meet you as well and TY for the response .. I've the HD 800s, so I can get a sense of what you're conveying here. The build looks very technical, which intrigues me as well

If you already got the HD800s, I think you should stick with it. In my opinion, the adx5000 is in a same tier as HD800s.
However, if you love more treble and more vocal engaging, you should try it
