Hello everyone, I'm a new member! I'd like to introduce myself.

I've only been in the IEM world for a year and I'm already at a point of no return.

I'm still studying the distinct types of drivers (DD, BA, Planars, FRs, sensitiveness, impedance etc..), learning to distinguish sounds in their respective frequency ranges. I've been reading a lot and I'm passionate about this amazing hobby, having 10 pairs of IEMs, a dozen cables and a few DAC dongles that have been extremely helpful in my learning to find out which sound signature I like the most.

I came across the expression "Rabbit Hole" and there couldn't be a better way to describe this hobby. I'm totally immersed in it, diving head first and without a helmet.

I hope to be able to contribute to this forum soon.:metal:

Yes, I regret some of them, but they were useful for learning and none of them cost more than $50. So it's worth it :)

10*50 is already 500$ :P

But i understand what you mean. You can still sell them and get some bucks back, so its okay i guess

I regret pretty much 90% of what you see in my signature but I take it as tuition fee.

Probably somewhere between $350 and $400. Yeah, that's fine, I wouldn't even consider selling them. Some of them probably won't be worth anything today or in 20 years, haha. I like to collect them (my wife not so much), although I try not to look at some of them because they irritate me.

Hello everyone
I have been browsing this forum and reading reviews from members since a few months, and i thought it was time to actually register.

I have fallen into the audio rabbit hole since the end of 2023, just wanting to upgrade my headphones first (it didn't end well), and now i'm searching my unicorn iem
Especially since where i live there's no really good way to try iems, so i had to make a shitton of research beforehand and lose money when reselling units.
My ideal main set would be basically the most intense listening experience possible, but very hard to know what is actually possible when i can't try a lot of things beforehand
😢

Fortunately i manage to attend the London Canjam 2024 when i manage to try a dozens of sets, which made understand a lot of things about what i want/like.

Currently my favorite 2 sets are the Sony IER-Z1R and the Canpur CP54E, i will probably resell one of theses once i made up my mind.

I hope this introduction message content was appropriate.
I'm not an very social person, but i hope i can contribute to this nice forum

Hang them on the wall so they always remind you on what you learned :P :D
