I'm looking at aftermarket cables what do you guys think of a 4 wire cable? Vs 8 wire 8 wire is double price

I will be interested to know also. Is there any diff in SQ between a 4 wire vs 8 wire?

I personally haven't heard a huge difference, though there are many brands I haven't tried.  The 8 wire is cooler looking, but the 4 wire is more ergonomic (especially if you wear your iems out in the real world).

I'd worry more about the core of the cable, I think that will play a more influential role than 4 vs 8 strand.

FYI sounds like JH Audio may be releasing something new (?) in December. Some people were complaining on Facebook about there not being a BF sale this year, and Andrew Regan responded with the below two posts:

He may have changed his mind? Or a different series altogether? Personally, I'd like to see a new entry into the Siren series. Maybe an 8-10 driver? But oh well, December is near. We shall soon see what's up.

btw I bought the balanced cable for Roxanne to use it with my AK240 and that sounds spectacular! Especially for listening to classic music, so wide, nature and detailed.
