Yeah, it's all up to you. It's not going to give any advantage, but it's not going to hurt either.
Thanks for the opinion. I think I'll still go for the 200w just to play it safe this time. And yea, i usually only go to about 9 o'clock max on my amps. Nowhere close to the max. Depending on the headphones and the amp.
If I do end up getting the Luxman DA-200 DAC I will probably try a cheaper one. That DAC is only 10 watts max, I believe.
I remember there was another brand of convertors on AC2, one of those was serious overkill but had 2 or more outputs.

Alright. Got my AT-HA5000 with a CSW-200W ordered up. Along with the latest KOTOKO album. Should be a very very nice day when it all arrives.![]()
The Kashimura? That's what I use. Build quality is exceptional, but it's huge.
Yep, that's the one, couldn't find it back at first on AC2.
1500W for 249$ isn't bad if you can connect more gear to it.
How many outlets does it have actually?
Only two.
One for my DAC, one for my amp. : P
Has anyone tried the lower end Kashimura transformers. I'm looking at the TI-200. Similar function to the CSW200W that I am slated to receive but half the price. I still have time to alter my order because it is a friend ordering for me, and he is still at work at the moment. Already sent him the payment though.![]()
Talking about overkill!![]()
Did you go for the HP-A8 then MF or are you talking about the Onkyo?
Do you imagine the 200w step down transformer will be enough? Thanks!
More than enough
And i also think using plugging it in the surge protector wont cause any harm.
