Will the M11S support video playback and if not what Hi-res player will?

None are very good at it IMO. Also I have yet to see a DAP that had L1 Widevine support for original resolution hi-definition display.

When you say "None are very good at it IMO."
Can you give me an idea as to what way are they not so good, or some sort if a comparison to other devices. Possibly older and newer cell phones.
I'm just looking for some usage when not viewing on a larger tablet.

Sorry for the less than clear answer. The M11s has a snapdragon 660 processor which was released in 2017. So it will perform like a 6 year old smartphone... I have the M11 Plus which has the same processor. I can test for you if you would like and tell me what to try.

It's never going to be anywhere near as good as a 4-year old Smartphone, very likely..
The Snapdragon 660 is pretty weak.. even the 2019 Samsung S10 has a MUCH stronger chipset...

I would never watch on a phone sized screen, though.. and the FiiO can probably not even last through a single movie.

Apple Music, I believe there’s been issues with downloading the app on to Fiio DAP’s, but I've not had that problem. However when I play a song it speeds up. I have to pause play then start again only for it to randomly speed up again. Is this a known problem?

Dear friend,

I failed to reproduce this problem and did not recevie similar feedback from other users. You may try to install the APP in latest version to see whether it helps? And do not enable the EQ effect in both the system and the Apple music app to check again?

Best regards
