Good ears man! I just switched to Solaris and can definitely hear the effect. It's still subtle and feels like a band-pass filter where only sub-bass/mid-bass is being affected, upper mids and treble stay unchanged. But there is definitely a change in sub-bass rumble when switching between these digital filters of ES9038Pro. Fast/linear is what I prefer personally.

Nano couldn't be more right, the Plenue L is freaking gorgeous! Never thought I'd appreciate a shiny thing like that this much.
It sounds absolutely great too. It does have some shortcomings, especially for the streamers out there, but it holds up very well against the competition.

Not many reviews to read on this Cowon Plenue L on internet, nor not many impressions to read on this thread either. Has anyone compared the SQ to the Sony WM1Z & SP1000 or Ak SP1000m brass gold version.

On the go with the L. Around a three hour journey into a city of 8.5 million. I walked around 45 minutes, two hours on a few trains and buses and two taxis. The L in balanced with the TH900. Very neutral and enjoyable.

A fellow Austrian!
Thanks! Lucky shots
Yes, that's the Lotoo Paw Gold Touch. The Cowon puts in more body and emotion, treble wise the Lotoo is brighter and a touch dryer. Both have very nice features to shape the sound and have excellent transparency, staging and imaging. Touch is more neutral and precise.

The the sounds gost and thin compared to the L in 4.4. Today I connected the L in 4.4 to an expensive Mass Kobo amp in 4.4. Pretty nice clean sound. But the L in 4.4 sounded equally good.
