Good spot. Maybe they are going to make the t1 and t5 the same spec but one open and one closed. I heard someone on reddit say they are making the t1.3 easier to drive.
Hope VI has more bass, more warmth, more weight. T5p more detail, clarity and soundstage, much better comfort and practicality for portable use. I like both, would have trouble choosing between them honestly.
I recently bought a pair of Beyerdynamic T5P series 2 headphones from my local CEX for £400. The guy serving me couldn’t believe that headphones could cost that much. Anyway I am very impressed with the sound quality of those headphones. I have them plugged into my Hiby R6 running Neutron Player and they are sweet.
Has anyone found a good balanced cable for the T5P Gen 2? I’m looking for one with a 4.4mm Pentacon connector that improves the sound over the stock cable.

You should check out Oidio Sound. The best cables I’ve found and reasonably priced. You can choose the colours, length and connectors etc. Their customer service is amazing too. I’ve ordered 6 cables from them over the last couple of years.

Custom Cans https://www.customcans.co.uk made lovely cables for me to use the T5P Mk.2 phones with the Beyerdynamic Impacto DAP, which comes with ridiculously short cables, so that the DAP sits on your chest. Of course having now bought a Chord Hugo 2 DAP, I almost never use the Impacto as the Hugo 2 is a whole different world (and given it is about 20 times the price of the Impacto, you would be very disappointed if it wasn't). I have a spare set of Custom Cans Impacto cables, that I keep meaning to get round to modifying to a pair of standard stereo cables (one 3 pole 3.5mm to two long shank 3.5mm cables) to use with the Hugo 2. Very good service from Custom Cans as well.
