@ all: Thank you for backing me!

Your opinion coincides with the technical information.
Member "Turrican2" commented under post #2320 the synergies between its "RME ADI-2 Pro" and the "T1", which should be transferable to the "ADI-2 Dac".

Will order at short notice...

Edit: Just ordered :beerchug:

Hi,

currently I intend to buy my first headphone, because my music spectrum ranges from pop to jazz to classical music, I am interested in "Beyerdynamic T1.2".

Furthermore, I need a Dac/Amp, here I would like the "RME ADI-2 Dac", due to price and futures.

The question is whether the RME is a good match in terms of power and sound.

Regarding power, I have asked RME, and was referred to the diagrams in the manual on page 57 (ADI-2 Pro on page 81): there is the same power, both amps deliver about 245 mA at 600 ohm impedance, which should to be enough...

With what sonic success did you combine the "RME ADI-2 Dac" with the "T1"? As far as no objections are made, or more optimal pairings are recommended...

Best
You're not messing around for your first set up, rock on!! :L3000::o2smile::)

I'm seriously tempted by the T1,2, my go to cans for the last year have been the DT 1990, has anybody compared the T1.2 to the 1990's ?, also if I do take the plunge they will be used exclusively with my Feliks Elise tube amp.

No experience with DT1990, but I have T90, I think it is well worth upgrade from T90 to T1.2, also with tune amp Icon audio HP8 mk2, they sounds great.

Thanks for your input Jay, I used to own the T90 as well, my reason for interest in the T1 is from what I gather it might have a slightly warmer sound than the 1990, without sacrificing too much energy and precision as the 1990 can sometimes be a little bit strident in the highs also I have read a review stating they synergise well with the Feliks Elise.

Hi, I own a DT990 and T1.2 and only briefly listened to the 1990s on my set up (cambridge audio dacmagic -> Bottleheadcrack + speedball). For what I remembe the brithness decreases as you go from 990 to 1990 to T1. But this is very suttle, and with an OTL amp with the proper tubes I have absolutely no problem listening even to the 990s which are know for being even sometimes too bright. I use the headphones usually 3h in the morning and 3h in the afternoon at work, listening mainly to metal (Spotify pre) or classical (FLAC). I think you should prob try yourself because there are so many variables that is basically impossible to garantee you that you will like them much more than the 1990s (Whihc I did not personaly undestand that much, I though, I went basic with the 990s and I liked the signature a lot, I will then wait to have enough money to go with the better one, skipping the mid step of the 1990s)

Thanks for the info @dede4metal, you're right of course, I know the basic Beyer sound well, so I know I won't be a massive leap of faith, think I'm going to have to try them for myself!.

Well, decided to take the plunge and give them a go, going on what I've read they should pair well with my tube amp, they should arrive Tuesday, can't wait! :dt880smile:.
Congratulation, you will enjoy it. T1.2 needs some time to break in, perhaps one week could make a big improvement. Your next step may try different Dac to tune the sound.

So, between my CEntrance Mini-M8 and my Burson Conductor Air -> Schiit Valhalla 2 the T1s have been pretty darn impressive so far. The harmonies between all the notes are so much more distinctive. Interestingly not as detailed as my DT880 Premium 600 ohm these replaced. The sound is much better overall and fuller though. Very happy with the upgrade so far.
