Burn in with the T1's will not come anywhere close to what you have described and experienced.

You could have a defect in the headphones, possibly with wiring, partial shorting, and something jostled it back to make a good connection or remove the offending part if shorted somewhat....

My concern is if this it true then it may come back!

But if it could be what the boys are alluding to....your setup, mood, expectations etc...

I hope they remain consistant for you and you get to enjoy the T1's as many of us are...

I hope you do not think I am being rude suggesting this but that sounds like the 1/4 jack not sitting correctly in the headphone jack socket or an adapter issue.

That is exactly what I hear when they are not connected correctly myself, hollow mids and vocals down a hall or missing.

Ding ding ding ding. We have a winner. I took apart the adapter, cleaned it and reassembled it. The sound is normal now; the excessive bass is gone, the mids are there. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ah brilliant, I thought it must be this as the mids on my 1.1 are amazing and have the best vocals of all my headphones :)

Guys, if you are looking for a dac for T1.2, I recently acquired a used dac Matrix audio X-sabre,I found it matching to T1.2 pretty good (I have Mojo and Deckard to compare), amp is Beyer A2 and Icon audio mk2 thru Macbook Audirvana plus.

Hi,

currently I intend to buy my first headphone, because my music spectrum ranges from pop to jazz to classical music, I am interested in "Beyerdynamic T1.2".

Furthermore, I need a Dac/Amp, here I would like the "RME ADI-2 Dac", due to price and futures.

The question is whether the RME is a good match in terms of power and sound.

Regarding power, I have asked RME, and was referred to the diagrams in the manual on page 57 (ADI-2 Pro on page 81): there is the same power, both amps deliver about 245 mA at 600 ohm impedance, which should to be enough...

With what sonic success did you combine the "RME ADI-2 Dac" with the "T1"? As far as no objections are made, or more optimal pairings are recommended...

T1.2 are very sensitive cans, 102dB, exactly the same number as T5p. Which means, they don‘t really require much power, just some higher voltage to compensate for their 600 Ohm impedance... Even with my portable Fiio A5 I could blast my ears with them, any stationary amp should have enough power to drive them...
