New Beyer DT1350

I'm a few months into breaking my dt1350s in and as far as on-ears go they've become super comfortable although i have a large head and have the headband extended all the way out which may help with comfort.
Its Interesting that you found the t51 boomy, the reviews i've read claim it has less bass.

Weird isn't it? To find the T51 boomy but that was my impression. But whatever it was, the voicing did not work for me. A complete turn off.

To me, the T51P has more mid-bass, but less sub-bass.

Yes, that is my impression as well. Overall the bass is, for my taste, a tad too present with the T51p. That may be because of my specific dislike for midbass...

Probably so... it was just booooommmmmm the moment I put the cans on, and took it off in 3 seconds. Not my cup of tea.

I haven't heard the T51, but I agree about the 1350s low end. Even after two years, I still am amazed at how clean and deep these sound.

Hey Focker,

Hope all is well. Do you still have the DT1350s? I don't see them in your signature. Its funny because of all the closed portables I've gone through, the DT1350s are the one's that I keep wanting to come back to.

I haven't read this thread in a while. Can anyone address the changes between the new vs old DT1350s?

Hey Rob: Yep, my 1350s are here to stay...been over two years now and Im sure I'll still be reaching for them two years from now when I'm out and about. I have them listed in my profile inventory, but not sure why they disappeared from my signature...that's very odd lol. But yeah, I have no desire to pick up any other portable headphone. I also use them quite often around the house when I'm online or using my Kindle Fire. As good as they are for music, they are even better for movies :)

PS: I ordered a facelift version off Amazon when the price became too tempting to pass up. The pads are definitely a little bigger and more comfortable out of the box, and the headband looks a little different, but I didn't feel they sounded any better than my trusty originals. That is to say, they sounded just as good to me. I didn't need two pairs, so I passed one along to my lady friend. I still have my originals since they are physically broken in and I dont have any comfort issues at all with them.
