They play extremely well on v20 and v30.To tighten the bass on the e70 you should give them a proper amplification.
So they don't play well out of smartphones or any other sources with low level of power.
I would recommend to have 150 mW, at least. To me ideal picture is around 400-500 mW per channel.

Good ideaNot yet. I think it would be an idea to try them first, and see how they fit. That should help in making decisions about what replacement tips to try.

yeah i know the feeling. Memory foam usually wont go well with e70. Memory foam usually negatively effects treble. The Symbio W hybrids might sound good though.Trying these Symbio W hybrids, though (having just said I will wait), as I'm curious about the combined tech' effect.

That was the reason why I moved to E Series in the end which have more linear mids..the rest was just fine.a slight lift/forwardness in the mids.
