Well I ended up ordering the Etymotic MC5's and I'm pretty pleased with them so far. The included tri-flange tips hurt terribly awful but the glider and foam tips are much more comfortable. For some reason I couldn't seem to get much isolation from the foam tips despite inserting them as deep as I could. Maybe they need time to expand?
Anyway I found the glider tips the most comfortable and offering the best isolation. I am thinking of ordering a pack of Shure Olives. They are compatible with MC5 without having to do any modding correct?
