Hi,
We'll show some very first proto's on the 25th of March at the head-fi meet & greet in Vienna.
This will be 3-D printed parts only, just demonstrating acoustic potential and showing the mechanic idea behind.
But missing robustness as the final products out of massive machined aluminium will offer.
Best regards,
heinz
Heinz...On pricing...Hopefully the final price won't be too cost-prohibitive. I remember reading an interview with John Franks of Chord (at bottom)...Was talking about how they made the Mojo using really great parts, and that they made agreements with some of the suppliers that they were able to get the price down because they promised to sell a ****load of the units...so would sell more on volume vs high price (because they could have charged more but they didn't)...Hopefully you can take the same approach as I'm sure there will be a demand for them if they do what they purport to.
In the end I realize each scenario is different, of course.

''Question: Isn't it a waste putting this whole design into something so small as the Mojo?
JF: ''Oh I think such products have a great future. In case of the Mojo, I wanted it to be something really unique, like a pebble just with buttons and stuff. Even the feel of the thing is something you would remember, or the fact that the ball rotates. It doesn't do anything, it could have been a normal button but it's just nicer this way. I just wanted it to be something people would like to hold and play with. The reason we managed to get it to such a low price is because we've negotiated really, really hard not only with our subcontractors, but with all of their suppliers. The chips used in it, at a low volume, would cost about the same as this whole product, where actually we got really good deals but we had to commit to massive volumes."
