Looks like the new circuit boards for the singlepower ppx3 and mpx3 amps.

These boards rate pretty well. Large groundplanes, Significant
thought to placement of parts. All the parts fit. Exactly fit.
Double sided and modern construction.

Only one company left on my list that seriously needs to clean up
their act. As recent pictures have shown extra components added
for grounding and noise problems.

All those people with the old models, you better hold on to them.
They will turn into pricy collectors pieces.

Guess having members b**ch (with good reason) about the internals of Mikhail's amps actually led to something good. Oh, the power of Head-Fi. =)

EDIT: I wonder if the resale value of his older amps will go down and benefit us poor folk . . .

You can say that again. I wonder if the prices will drop because they're cheaper to build now.

But if there was never a problem- Why did things change?

Yeah looks very nice. Better than looking nice it looks well thought out, nicely implemented, easy to repair, easier to inspect, with proper assembly technique repeatable from unit to unit, safer with no lose or floating parts.

What was the song- “You’ve come a long way baby”.

Congratulations those look like nicely engineered instruments.

Gentleman open your wallets.

Who’s getting the first one for listening tests?

I made a prediction here some time ago that the PTP models would actually go up in price as some people will always claim the "originals" sounded better.
See it happen all the time in the electric guitar amp/effects milieu.
I guess now we'll see.

edit: now I wish I still had my PPX3 to do an A/B!

Mikhail sent these pics to me via email not too long ago and asked my opinion. Of course, not knowing a thing about amp construction, all I could say is that they looked great! This really does represent a huge step in the right direction, and should put Singlepower in a position to penetrate a wider market via print ads and the like. It's nice to see the approval from KG (and others) who know so much about amp design and construction.
