Very interesting review indeed! However, being an owner of the SR225, I feel obligated to disagree.

When I was auditioning various Grado headphones at the dealer, I found my favorite cans were the SR80 and SR225. I felt the SR60 was too congested (even with the bowl pads) and the SR125 was much too harsh. Both the SR80 and SR225 were relaxed, like a presenter who knows their topic like the back of their hand. The SR60 and SR125, however, were like the presenter who rushes through things and forces it on their audience.

Why?

Too recessed.

Not musically involving.

A bit too dark on the Grado scale.

wow

I always thought I was one of the only people that enjoyed the 125s over the 225s and yes I know this thread is old, but I somehow missed it in search.

I have an appreciation thread for the 125s (link in sig) but it's only accumulated a paltry 9 posts.

rock on!

just how i like a review. honest, unforgiving, and to the point.

kudos x1000. i think ill stalk your other threads because id like to hear some more honest opinions without flowery political correctness and paragraphs about perception and subjectivity.
