Doing this a little backwards but just ordered the centrance m8 and ordering the primes Friday (payday) excited to hear what these can do.

Just got the latest email from Mr spekers, he will be discontinuing all his dog headphones. wow fostex has doscontinued their t50rp2. sad news, but now he will focus on making his own headphones. i will for sure will support any future headphones.

Yes this must mean he will come up with a closed back ether. It be sad to see the others cans be discontinued but its a who new field to be developed.

Perhaps I'm confused -- no, I know I am confused -- but doesn't the alpha prime use a v-planar driver, not the t50rp driver? Meaning it already has separated itself from the dog line? So why discontinue that, the Prime?

It uses the t50rp driver modified with the "v-planer processing", i.e., it's undergone "knurling".
