Like I said, even if it says 480p, the stream may still be playing under it. What I do is start the vid, change the quality, then rewind the video a little. It will then kick in the quality you set it to. Some vids default at 360p, and stay that way until you do what I mentioned. Youtube is stupid that way.

1080/720p = 192kbps mp3
480p = 128kbps
360= 96kbps iirc
240= I forget

LCD2 has amazing bass.

Also... D7000. Those Fostex Denons... the bass on those is one of a kind.

As far as bass power/rumble goes.

Denon/Fostex top models bass can be felt and can give you a tickle at the right hz.
The JVC DX1000 has bass of a similar level of power.
Ultrasone Signature DJ as well.

Audezes are behind these 3 lots in overall power, but go deep as heck. Alphas are further diminished but not bad by any stretch.

i've been switching back and forth b/n the ADs and the d7000...the d7000's bass is much deeper and heavier than the ADs. but because the ADs fit so much better on my head and seal so much better, its bass sometimes feels better than the d7000's. i'm not sure i'll keep the ADs, but give me another week and we'll see...they're really good, but so far the sound isn't as enjoyable as my d7000. we'll see...

I think its AAC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youtube#Quality_and_codecs, so it should be a little better than mp3's of the same rate if I'm not mistaken.

  I sold my HE-6 and LCD-2 just from reading the reviews of the MD.  Being a closed headphone was a part of that decision but it is my best buy in headphones.  The MD was my favorite all around for a long time till the AD was out.  I am still in awe of what Dan did with the little Fostex drivers.

I played this video today and thought the AD sounded pretty sweet.  Then I turned on my speakers and found out how sad they really are.  The speakers couldn't product a third of the song.

Bad ass job Dan!

For a lark, I tried this using my Shure SE846's and my head started to vibrate. I was an interesting and disturbing experience. But it proved that the sub-bass (woofer) aspect of the SE846's are doing their job.

False. Try the LCD2s or LCD3s and you can feel the bass from within the cans.

I own a pair of LCD 3's actually and did some research and it turns out that they DO NOT produce actual bass. They can hit the low frequencies but no ACTUAL bass. An easy test would be to pull one cup off your ear or one iem off. You are really only perceiving the bass. Which is why so many people have different opinions of bass signature on the same cans.
Which doesn't really matter in the scheme of things.
