@Swammonland If you're able to make, I'd love to listen to your Pass HPA-1!
If anyone else has a fullsize/desktop amp with pre-amp functionality (RCA preouts with gain, volume control), it would be most welcome! I'm in the market, agnostic regarding tube/SS. Planning to listen to the Linear Tube Audio MZ2-S at the Cal. Audio Show on 7/28-29. (If Pass has the HPA-1 in their room, it's also on my hit list, although I think it's more likely a stereo setup.)
I can bring any of the following to the meet
Headphones:
Fostex TH-X00 Purplehearts
Shure SRH-1840
Senn HD6XX
Senn Momentum
Amp
Lake People G103
DAC/AMP
FiiO X17
Centrance Dacport HD
NuForce Icon HDP
It would be good for someone to keep a list of what people can bring. Also it would be nice for someone to step up and organize the event because I'm terrible at that.
-----------
I can bring:
Schiit Fulla 2
Schit Magni 2
Monoprice Monolith M1060C
Sennheiser HD 6XX
AKG K553 Pro
I've never setup a meet, but the one we had at the Alum Rock library held more than 20 people and I'm pretty sure it took longer than 4 hours with no issues.
I've also checked with the San Mateo Public Library off of El Camino. It should be able to hold around 25 exhibitors and they said they are alright with headphone peeps. Not sure on power outlets tho. Nice facility.
So I’ll be at Stanford to meet an important other this weekend. If this meeting will happen to hold at a time and space that fits, I definitely would wish to come. I’ll bring iems and daps if I could!
I'm not sure. How long are we going to wait for everyone to vote before we decide on a day? As Donkeywalker graciously offered his place, it's just a matter of deciding on a day and time.
