I apologize in advance if this topic has been touched on in any of the other LCD-2 threads but the intra-thread search function doesn't seem to be working well atm.

Anyways, I recently purchased the LCD-2s and plan to use them in a recording studio for critical listening, mixing and EQ'ing, so I need the sound reproduction to be as accurate and neutral as possible, with no coloration.

What DAC/amp/cable combo would be ideal for this application with these cans? Current budget is about 3k, but could go higher just would need to purchase more at a later date.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you haven't seen it I'd start here:

It's the HP / amp pairing that's important.  Then you get the DAC that meets your needs.
